Part 78

Aaron Hotchner's POV

I just woke up. Emily's still sleeping. I get up silently. I go in the kitchen. It's 6am. I begin to make pancakes. I try not to make a lot of noise.

* * * * * * * * * *

I hear someone's going downstairs. It's 6:45am.

" 'Morning Sweetie," I say, kissing her.

" 'Morning," she declares, smiling.

She sits at the table. I come with two plates; one for Emily and one for me.

We begin to eat.

"I can't wait," she declares.

"Me too," I respond.

"I love you so much!"

"So do I!" I answer, smiling.

It is now 7:25am.

"We're gonna be late!" Emily exclaims.

I get up and I clean the table while Emily's dressing up. I run upstairs and I dress up too. We're ready and we go to the car.

"7:33am," I declare.

I drive to the orphanage. We get out of the car.

"I'm so excited!" Emily exclaims.

I take her hand and I kiss her before heading to the entrance.

"Mr. Hotchner and Mrs. Prentiss?" The secretary asks.

"Yes."

"Come with me."

We follow her and we arrive in an office. She makes us sign to sit. We sit and she gives us papers to fill.

"You need to read that and sign," she says, smiling.

We begin to read and we sign all the papers. We give the papers back to the secretary.

"Ready to meet your new son?" She asks.

"Yes!"

We follow her and we arrive in a corridor. We wait a few minutes and a woman comes out with a baby in her arms. She gives him to Emily.

"He's so... He's so gorgeous!" She declares, crying.

"He is ours," I say to her, wiping her tears.

The woman leaves and we head to the car.

"Wanna tell the others about Oliver?" I ask.

"Not now. I wanna wait until the Halloween's party."

We arrive at our home. I kiss Emily.

"Have a beautiful day with Oliver," I say.

"Love you."

"If there's anything, call me."

"Okay. See you soon!"

She holds Oliver and says:

"Do you say goodbye to daddy? Goodbye, daddy!"

I know how she's loving him. And I'm loving him too.
