Chapter Fifty-Eight

Cassie opened her eyes in an unknown place, she looks around freaked out until she hears the familiar voice of her soulmate, "Hey gorgeous."

She whirled around wide-eyed, "Kol?"

He smiles at her as tears well up in her eyes, "it's me, Cass, I'm here, my darling."

She doesn't hesitate to run into his arms, tears falling down her face, "I miss you so much... how is this happening right now?"

Kol wraps his arms around her "I miss you Cass so much and there was this witch who owed me a favor after I got daggered the last time, she ended up dying before I could call it in, so I found her, here on the Other Side and called in the favor, just because a witch is dead doesn't mean they can't do magic, so this is a dream, and I'll be in this dream with you until you wake up."

Cassie has tears falling down her face again as she is pulled into his chest, with Cassie burying her face in his shoulder. She pulls back, looking him in the eye, "I love you so much, Kol."

He reaches up and wipes the tears off her cheek, "I love you too Cassie, never forget that"

She nods, smiling at him, "Never."

He smiles down at her running a thumb across her cheek and pulling her into a kiss Cassie warps her arms around his neck tangling her fingers in his hair, Kol smiles pulling back a few minutes later resting his forehead against hers and Cassie looks up into his eyes and sighs figuring now would be a good time to tell him that she was having his baby.

Cassie looks him in the eyes again with tears in her eyes, "I'm pregnant, 14 weeks... I wish you were there to go through this with me"

Kol smiles at his soulmate, "I know Cass."

She looks at him surprised, "what?"

He gently caresses her face, "I've been watching over you since you've been in New Orleans, I can see and hear everything you say... even if you can't see me, I'm there watching over you... so when did you find out?"

Cassie smiles at him "So two weeks after you died Astrid decided to get me away from Midgard for a while, so we went home to Asgard and when we stepped out of the Bifrost I started feeling like I was gonna throw up, so Astrid got me into the Palace and to my room, and she went and got Frigga who used her magic to see what was wrong with me, and she told me I was 10 weeks pregnant and that's why I felt sick because on Midgard I couldn't feel the effects because the yellow sun activates my Kryptonian abilities but Asgard as a red sun so as soon as I was exposed to it, I could feel it, so Frigga made me the necklace I'm wearing to suppress my Kryptonian physiology until after the baby is born, so she isn't harmed, it harnesses rays of the red sun from Asgard and as long as I have it on then my abilities are suppressed, she gave it to me after she told me."

"So did she already know or?"

Cassie chuckles, "you remember that dream I had before the last dream with you?"

He nods "yeah."

"Well like I told you it was a vision and when I went to talk to Frigga about it, she looked into it, and she saw the vision as well, but she saw further in the vision than I did, and I was pregnant in the vision, so she knew it was gonna happen, she told me that the vision would come true she just didn't when so she started making the necklace as soon as she knew, she also told me that it was possible because we're Soulmates because nobody knows the extent of what the magic in a soulmate bond can do."

He nods "that makes sense," Kol then pulls her into his lap wrapping his arms around her kisses her on the side of the head, Cassie leans into him as she interlocks their fingers resting their interlocked hands on her stomach and Kol whispers in her ear "Not matter what I am gonna be there beside you every step of the way even if you can't see me, but I'm going to be there, and I already know just from watching you that you are gonna be an amazing mother."

Cassie leans her head back into his shoulder, "I made a promise when I found out not just to myself but to you that I was gonna love and protect her no matter what and that I wasn't gonna let anything happen to her, and I meant it."

Kol smiles, "I don't doubt that one bit, my darling"

Cassie smiles just revealing in the feeling of being in his arms again, even if it's only for a little while, so they just spent the time that they had cuddled together and just talking revealing in each other's presence.

Cassie woke up the next morning with a smile on her face, feeling like nothing could put her in a bad mood after seeing Kol, again for the first time since he died, even if it was only in her dream.

Kol stood beside her smiling as well as he looked over at the witch, "Thank you for that."

The witch smiled, "Soulmates are rare Kol which is why I agreed to do it when you said she was yours. I'm honestly surprised that she's still alive, she should have died with you, it's how Soulmate deaths work, but not with the two of you."

Kol looks at Cassie "well my Cassie is special" he looks back at the witch "she's an Asgardian... she's stronger than your average human in every way."

The witch nods "that could very well be why she's still alive after her soulmate died because she isn't human."

Kol watches Cassie get up out of bed, still smiling as she walked into the bathroom in her room.
