Chapter Twenty-Six

Cassie smiles at her soulmate "I know where I want to go first... Venice, Italy I've always wanted to go there and to a bunch of other places too but let's start there"

Kol smiles at his soulmate "okay then let's start there" the blonde alien smiles as she walked over to her closet to pack some stuff, she grabs a suitcase and a duffel bag, then she packs everything she might need and well what she doesn't take she can always have Kol compel it for her.

She walked out of the closet Kol looked up "got everything?"

Cassie smiled and nodded "I think so and if I, missed something and need it, then you can just compel it for me"

Kol smirks at her "true, Nik is letting us use his private plane to go where we want so when we get on board all we have to do is tell the pilot where to go"

Cassie laughs "I'm not even surprised that Nik has a private plane at this point... honestly I'd be more surprised if he didn't have one."

They grabbed their bags and Cassie grabs her keys and they put their bags in the trunk of her car. Cassie climbs into the driver's side and she sighed, she couldn't help but worry just a little bit but Kol grabs her hand, making her look at him "hey Nik will call if he needs us and we will be there as soon as we can okay?"

She smiles looking over at him, with a nod "okay"

Then the blonde backed out of the driveway and headed towards the airport where the plane is waiting to take them to Venice.

About 45 minutes later the two are sitting on the plane just waiting for the all-clear to take off.

About 9 and a half hours later the plane lands and Kol smiles seeing his girlfriend sleeping with her head laid over on his shoulder he gently shakes her "Cass, wake up we just landed"

The blonde alien sits up and looks at him "how long was I asleep?"

Kol smiles at her "just a couple of hours"

Kol stands up and offers her a hand "come on let's go and see Venice" Cassie smiles taking her boyfriend's hand as he pulled her to her feet "let's go"

They grab their bags and exit the plane Cassie has a smile stretched across her face
"I can't believe that I'm actually here"

Kol laughed but could help but smile at the excitement on her face "well believe it Cass cause here we are well almost since the city is surrounded by water we are right outside of Venice"

They walk out of the airport Cassie still smiling widely "So where are we staying?"

Kol smirks "Nik said he has a place here, and said that we could stay in it while we were here it's right in the heart of the city and the only house in that little area so it's private there should be a boat waiting to take us to the house."

Cassie laughs "once again not even surprised at that and of course, it's gonna be remote and private this is Nik we're talking about... the reason I've always wanted to visit here is because the whole city was built on islands surrounded by water and I've always thought that was brilliant and beautiful."

They walk up to the loading dock where a boat is waiting for them, they put their things in the boat then Kol steps down into the boat helping Cassie in. His soulmate smiles laying her head against Kol's shoulder as the captain of the boat takes off, piloting them to the house they're gonna be staying in.

It takes about 15 minutes to get to the house and once the boat stops at the dock "Here you are Sir, Ma'am"

Cassie smiles at the man "Thank you" He nods as they sit their bags on the dock before Kol gets out first and he turns and of course, he helps Cassie out.

The boat captain smiles at the couple "Have a nice night."

Cassie smiles back "You too." He pulls the boat away from the dock and the couple smiles at each other before grabbing their bags and making their way to the house. Cassie laughs looking at the house "wow Nik sure has a thing for mansions doesn't he?"

Kol laughs getting the spare key where Klaus told him it would be "Looks like it" he unlocks the door and throws an arm around Cassie's shoulders "Welcome to Venice, My Love" Cassie grins at him before pulling him into a kiss.
