Cassie parked her car outside of the station and grabbed the drink tray from Kol, who got out of the car as well, Cassie looked at him "so you're coming in with me?"

He smirked at her "of course I am."

The blonde smiled at him and the two walked into the station, heading straight for Liz's office, Cassie looked at her soulmate with a smile "you might want to wait out here until after I talk to her even though you can hear everything, I say from here but still, Once I tell her about you, I'll come and get you."

He nodded at her with a smirk still on his face "okay darling, whatever you say."

Cassie knocked on the door and her mom called out "come in." the blonde alien opened the door and walked in closing the door behind her "Hi, mom... I brought you coffee from the grill." She sat the coffee cup on her desk.

The older woman's head snapped up, looking at her eldest daughter "Cassidy Elizabeth Forbes, you do not leave with nothing but a note and scare me like that again." Liz got up and walked towards her oldest daughter and pulled her into a hug, "I was worried sick about you Cass."

Cassie hugged her mom back "I'm sorry mom... I really didn't think I'd be gone as long as I was but it was an opportunity that I just couldn't pass up."

Liz looked at her "what are you talking about Cass?"

The blonde alien smiled at her, finally telling her the truth about her dreams, "so you remember when I told you about my dreams?"

The older blonde nodded "yeah, you haven't talked to me about that in years though... I think the last time was when you were 15."

Cassie nodded at her "yeah that sounds about right, well I didn't say anything before because I wanted it to be something that I had for myself... like it was my little secret but after the last one I told you about is when I found out what they meant."

Liz looked at Cassie and smiled "well what does it mean?"

The younger blonde couldn't help the smile that slipped onto her face "I have a soulmate mom, that's what it means, the man that I kept seeing in those dreams is my soulmate and his name is Kol and I met him during the time I was gone."

Her mom smiled "I guess that does make sense as to why you would dream of the same man over and over again, is he with you now?"

Cassie nodded at her "yeah, he's outside, figured it'd be better to tell you about it first before bringing him in here."

Liz laughed and nodded "yeah that was a smart idea."

Cassie let out a little laugh as well "I'm gonna bring him in now... please don't freak out when you hear his name well his last name... I'm just gonna leave it at that." Liz looked at her confused as Cassie walked out of her mom's office. The blonde saw Kol leaning against the wall "come on then, she's waiting."

Kol gave her a teasing look "you purposely left out the Mikaelson part when you were talking to her."

Cassie rolled her eyes and grabbed his arm pulling him into the office "yeah I did I figured I'd get a little less of a freak out if you were with me when she found out that part."

Liz looked at her as they came back into her office "what did you mean by that last thing, Cass?"

Cassie just smiled at her "you will see in just a minute, mom this is Kol... Mikaelson and he's, my soulmate."

Liz looks at her for a moment "did you say Mikaelson? like Klaus Mikaelson?"

Cassie nodded "yeah, Kol is his younger brother..."

Liz let out a breath and then put a smile on her face "Hi, Sheriff Liz Forbes."

Kol smiled at her as well and then shook her outstretched hand "it's nice to meet you, Sheriff Forbes."

The woman nodded at him "you too." Then she looked at Cassie "can I talk to you for a second alone?"

Cassie nodded at her mom before looking at her soulmate "go and wait by the car, I'll be out in a few minutes."

Kol gave her a nod "okay," then he kissed her on her head before he walked out of Liz's office and headed out to Cassie's car.

Liz looked at Cassie again, she had a small smile on her face, after watching that small interaction between the two "you look happy."

Cassie can't help but smile "I am happy mom, really happy."

The older woman pulled her into a hug "how can I disapprove of that? Even if he is a vampire, the important thing is that your happy, and you tell me if he ever hurts you and I'll handle it."

Cassie smiled at her protectiveness "it's okay mom, he literally physically can't hurt me, the bond makes it impossible for him or one of his siblings to hurt me in any way."

She nodded "well that makes me feel better too."

"I love you, mom."

Liz smiled "I love you too Cassie."
"I'm gonna let you get back to work now so I'll see you later" Cassie kissed her mom on the cheek and walk out to the car smiling.

Kol is leaning against the car "so I take it that it wasn't too bad?"

Cassie shook her head "not at all she was cool with it because I'm happy." Kol and Cassie head back to her house after that, once Cassie parked her car in the driveway, she noticed that Caroline wasn't home, yet which was probably a good thing for right now at least until things cooled down between them, she cut the car off and the two got out of the car.

They made their way into the house and up to Cassie's room, Cassie went straight for her closet to get some pajamas to change into, it had been a pretty long day. Cassie headed into the bathroom to change once she was done, she walked back into her room and fell face-first onto the bed, and she heard Kol laugh "tired darling?"

The blonde alien picked her head up and crawled into bed the right way, "yes, today has been a long day and I just want to sleep, so come over here and cuddle with me?"

Kol chuckled with a smile on his face "whatever you want my darling," he laid down beside her and Cassie curled up into his side as he wrapped his arms around her "goodnight my gorgeous little alien."

She gave him a sleepy smile burying her face into his chest, "goodnight, my love." is all she could manage to get out before she let sleep overtake her.
