Sarah stared at herself in the mirror as her mom did her hair. She smiled with nervous excitement. "I can't believe it."

"Neither can I", her mom, Esther, chuckled as she curled her hair. "Twenty-seven years of girl stuff did not prepare me for this."

Sarah laughed. "Just promise you won't cry."

"I promise", Esther smiled, looking Sarah through the mirror. "I can't say much for our boys, though."

"Hey!" Davey and Les sat offended as Sarah chuckled quietly.

"Sorry", Esther apologized, looking back at her daughter. "Our men."

Sarah laughed loudly as Les rolled his eyes and Davey chuckled. "At least some of us can take a joke."

"That's what she said", Les responds, stretching. Sarah rolled her eyes as Davey stared at him confusedly. Esther laughed.

"You've got your father's humor", she says, reaching up to ruffle Les' hair. "Ugh, freaking tall people. Am I right, Sarah?"

Everyone laughed, walking over to the closet.

"Am I ready for this?"

Jack, Race, and Smalls groaned as Katherine paced, still contemplating her decisions. That's the 32nd time she's asked that.

Katherine sighed, running a hand through her short hair. "Maybe we should've waited. I mean, you can postpone a wedding that's already happening, right?"

"Kath!" She turned to look at Jack. "What are you even talking about?"

"I don't know!" She laughs bitterly, pacing again. "Is this right-"

"Listen, Pulitzer", Smalls starts, grabbing Katherine by the shoulders. "I wore a dress for this, understand that? So what you're going to do is march down that aisle hand in hand with your fiancé, or so help me God, I will push you down myself. Am I understood?"

Katherine nodded, walking over to the mirror to grab the curling iron. "You're right. I, an awesome person, am about to marry Sarah Jacobs, and amazing person. I've got this."

——————

"I don't got this", Sarah says, flicking her hands. "What if something goes wrong? What if I fall? My God, what if the ceiling caves in?!"

Romeo sighed. "You Jacobs worry a lot. It's almost like a hereditary thing."

Davey high-fived him. "Science!"

"Yeah!" Sarah looked at both of them, tears coming to her eyes. Race walked up to her.

"No! I did not do your make up just for you to cry it away", he says sternly, dabbing the area around her eye. "We don't have the time."

Sarah nodded, taking deep breaths. "You're right! Your right. I'm sorry."

"Don't be sorry, Sar", Davey smiles, wrapping an arm around her shoulders. "You're about to marry your greatest person on this earth, and you're doing it in style. Not many people can say that."

Sarah nodded, smiling at her brother. "Okay."

Everyone looked toward the door, hearing music playing. "Time to go."

Sarah watched as her friends left, finding their partners to walk down the aisle. She paced, fanning her face. "Don't cry, don't cry, don't cry."

"Wow."

She turned to see Katherine. "Wow yourself."

Katherine chuckled and walked up to her fiancé. "You're absolutely beautiful."
