So, Davey loved his soulmates.

Well, not literally, because there's no scientific way to prove that they were, in fact, his soulmates.

But he loved his boyfriends.

They were really different from him. They were loud, and social, and animated. Not that Davey couldn't be those things, he just wasn't those things. That wasn't a problem, though. They matched each other, like a pattern rather than a puzzle, and they complimented each other.

Nonetheless, Davey loved them both, but sometimes he was tested on that love.

"Race, I'm tellin' ya", Jack assured, getting in Race's face and pointing his finger, "Hugh Jackman is way better than Ryan Reynolds."

"Of course you would says that", Race countered, to which Davey uttered "It's "say", and Race would apologize. "Ya only likes him because of his last name."

Davey was laying on the floor, an arm over his face as he listened to the threats and quips from his boyfriends to each other.

Usually, Davey found their arguments soothing. Of course, he would stop them if they got to far (or if they were actually hurting the other) but the dumb ones were always the best ones simply for one thing: their accent and eyes.

Jack had a natural Manhattan accent with southern undertones. His dad was from Texas, and he would go there a lot as a kid. He eventually gained a small Texan accent, one that left sooner than it came. Even though it's hard to hear, Davey loved when it would slip out. The first thing Davey thought when he heard it was paying Jack to sing him to sleep, but then he decided that was weird and socially unexceptional.

Race didn't have a bad accent, but Davey favored his eyes. They were the color of a pool, but you could see the ocean in them. The sky wasn't comparable, and every ocean looked polluted compared to his eyes. It was like looking at his future and his past at the same time.

Of course, now I'm only listing one of the reasons Davey loves his boyfriends while simultaneously noting my headcanon. But the words I use can only cover half of what Davey thinks.

At the moment, though, Davey really just wants them to shut up.

"Come on, Racetrack", Jack rolls his eyes. "Just join the dark side. We's has ice cream, I swear."

Race gasped loudly, emitting a sigh out of Davey. "You knows I'm lactose intolerant! I can't believe you's would stoop so low, Francis."

Jack gasped and clutched his chest. "Well, Antonio, I'se see this is a conflict that can only be resolved one way."

"I'se agree", Race nodded.

The both turned to the tallest boy beside them. "What do you's think is better: Nickelodeon or Disney?"

I didn't even know they switched subjects, Davey thought as he sat up and rubbed his eyes. He looked at the blonde with the pretty eyes and the brunette with the lovely accent and sighed.

He looked at the two, seeing hope and excitement in their eyes. After one last look, Davey decided his answer.

"Cartoon Network", Davey huffed, laying on his side and picking at the carpet on the floor, his head rested in his hand. There was silence on the other end, causing him to look up.

"I mean", Race voiced, "he's has a point. 'We Bare Bears' is a really good show."

"That", Jack pointed at Davey, "is a really good answer. But 'The Amazing World of Gumball' was way better."

"No way!"

"Yeah way!"

They began to argue again, causing Davey to groan and lay down. He watched with his eyes as they made stupid arguments and poor judgements. Eventually, they turned to Davey again, wanting an answer.

"Adventure Time", Davey sighed, fully up and sitting in his behind. "I think "Adventure Time" is superior."

The two of them thought it over and nodded. "Okay, yeah", Jack agreed. "Race?"

Race nodded vigorously. "Well, duh! As a matter of fact, we'se should watch it."

So they did. Jack turned on the TV while Davey got the blankets and Race got the snacks. They sat together on the floor, Jack with an arm around Davey, and Race snuggled into the taller, all of their eyes fixated on the screen.

Davey loved both of them, with all of his heart. Yes, they were very stubborn and argumentative, and yes, they were loud when making these arguments, but that increased his love for them, and he'd die for these moments with them.

They were his favorite parts of his life.
