"No", Jack shouted as he paraded around the house. "Nope."

"Jackie, I'm sorry", Davey followed after him quickly, trying not to laugh. "It was an honest mistake!"

"Oh, yeah!" Jack threw his arms in the air, crossing them after. "So my brownie just fell into your mouth, huh? It just happened to fall from the sky, right?"

Davey could tell his boyfriend wasn't really mad, he was just being dramatic. If he was mad, he'd stop talking to Davey for a few hours, then buy food from Davey's favorite restaurant without buying him anything.

It was petty, but it was one of the quirks Davey loved. "It's just a brownie."

"Just a-" Jack looked at Davey with shock, a hand on his heart as he began to cry. "Just a brownie?! You made those with your heart and soul! How could you say-"

Davey tried not to chuckle at his frantic brownie. "Davey Jacobs, you are a soulless man."

The taller frowned as Jack began to cry. "I-I can't believe you did that."

"Oh, no, baby", Davey walked over to him and hugged him close to his chest. "I'm sorry. I really didn't mean to."

Jack sobbed loudly and dramatically, hugging his boyfriend close. "I really wanted to eat that brownie, Davey. That's why I saved it."

"I know", Davey sighed, petting his boyfriends hair comfortingly. "How can I make it up to you?"

Jack stopped crying and looked at Davey seriously. "Hoodies. Brownies. All four Avengers movies."

Davey chuckled. "Anything else, your highness?"

"I know that's implying I'm a tyrant, but I'm choosing to ignore it", Jack smiles, moving away from the hug and heading to their room to grab one of Davey's favorite hoodies. Davey giggled and shook his head.

"Drama queen", Davey says, walking to the kitchen.

"I heard that!" Jack walked out of the room in Davey's hoodie and basketball shorts. "And to think I was gonna share my brownies."

Davey chuckled, rolling his eyes. "I'm the one making them."

"So?"

"I can eat as many as I want", Davey responds, grabbing baking supplies. "I only owe you one."

"If you do that, I'll cut off your eyelids."

"Aw, but I won't look pretty anymore."

"You'd like nice either way."

"Aw, Jackie."

He could feel Jack rolling his eyes as he chuckled, butting brownie mix in a bowl. He went on to make the brownies rather quickly, leaving the kitchen to check on a very quiet Jack Kelly.

"Hey", Davey says, sitting on the couch and placing an arm on his boyfriend's shoulders. "What are you doing?"

Jack shrugged and kept scrolling through movies. "Trying to find Avengers."

"Cool", Davey nods. "Cool. Cool. Cool."

They sat in a comfortable silence as Davey waited for the brownies to bake. For about ten minutes, five of which Jack kept trying to look for one of his favorite movies. Davey eventually got up to get the brownies out of the oven, causing the smell of chocolate to flow throughout the apartment.

"Are they done yet?" Davey nearly jumped twelve feet in the air at Jack's sudden appearance, laughing when he centered his feet.

"Yeah", Davey answers as he placed the brownies on the counter. "They just have to cool."

"Hey, what's your favorite color?"

"Why?"

"Answer the question."

"Green."

"Why?"

"Because it goes well with orange."

"...What?"

"You remind me of the color orange."

Jack smiled and chuckled a little. That was sweet. Wait. "Then why isn't your favorite color orange?"

Davey shrugged, smiling softly. "I'm saying you compliment me, Jackie."

"But I think you're more of the color yellow", Jack says, leaning over the counter to look at the brownies. "You give off yellow vibes."

"What?" Davey shook his head. "No way, I'm totally green."

"Yellow-green, then?"

"That's just greens pick-me older sister."

Jack laughed, taking the hood of the hoodie off of his head. "What?"

"No, I've actually thought a lot about this", Davey says, liking his lips. "If colors were people, yellow-green would just be a pick-me girl."

"What?!"

"Think about it! Tell me it doesn't give off those vibes."

"It gives me Elmer vibes, to be honest."

"No, see, because Elmer would agree with me", Davey says, grabbing a butter knife. "We talked about this."

"Where was I?" Jack crossed his arms and watched as Davey cut the brownies into perfect squares.

"You were- I actually don't know. But it was me, Elmer, and Race, and we all agreed. It's an annoying color."

"How- how did you come to this conclusion?" Jack grabbed a napkin and waited for the brownie, placing it on the counter when he got it. "I'm curious."

"So, you never use the yellow-green crayon, right? It's just there. Looking back at you. You use the white crayon more than you use the yellow-green crayon, but wherever you go it's always there. Staring back at you. Like an old doll."

"Please don't mention dolls", Jack cringed, shaking his head. "Race made me watch Annabelle last night at his house, and I'm not gonna be over it for at least a month."

Davey laughed, grabbing a brownie of himself. He walked over to Jack's side of the counter, patting his head and walking into the living room. "It's not that scary."

"Yeah, because you're a psychopath", Jack muttered, following his boyfriend. They both sat on the couch and continued watching the rest of the movie.

Eventually, Davey had his head on the shorter's lap as said boy had a hand in his hair. They were quiet, and had already finished their brownies.

"You make good food", Jack complimented mindlessly, focused on the TV.

"Thank you", Davey chuckled sleepily, smiling up at his boyfriend. Everything was perfect.

The next day, Jack finished off the orange juice, and they started the process all over again.
