Holidays- The Newsies

Not my favorite chapter! It could definitely have been written better lol

At Jack and Davey's house, lights shined bright, music played loudly, and Elmer was playing Just Dance with the younger kids.

Davey was in the kitchen with Race, Specs, and Blink, trying to find ways to make space for the food brought by everyone.

Romeo and Jack were doing their best in making brownies, nearly failing miserably, but at least they were edible.

There were presents around the tree, and Spot was trying to guard it and keep Les, Books, Boots, and Snipeshooter from stealing their presents and opening them before dinner. Ike and Mike were doing their hardest to help them, hoping they could open their presents too.

Mush walked in on Elmer dancing with no one, since the kids left to steal presents. He grabbed a remote and called Crutchie, all three of them competing against each other.

The guys in the kitchen eventually got all the food to the table, with visible struggle, and called everyone into the room. Davey laughed as everyone stormed in and sat quickly. He followed after them and smiled at his boyfriend, Jack, looking at everything.

They immediately dug in to the various types of food, talking to each other and sharing stories from the year, happy to be around their friends. No one had one complaint, and they all laughed joyously, leaving the air happy.

After dinner, everyone followed the younger kids back to the tree, finding all of their presents and opening them immediately. Race had gotten everyone gag gifts, and somehow fit presents for every single person in his car.

The kids opened their presents first and made a large amount of noise, save for Boots, who stanched all of his gifts in a nice pile, thanking everyone for everything. Everyone liked the way their faces lit up at everything they opened. It just made Christmas more special.

The older group of guys got smaller presents- one from every person. There were a lot of tears and hugs, and a lot of comforting from Katherine and Sarah. Mush got up at least ten times to get more dessert before Blink had to cut him off.

At the end of the night, Mush and the younger kids fell asleep from a sugar crash, everyone else sitting on the couch in a soft conversation. They laughed quietly, careful not to wake anyone up. Crutchie got up to get something to drink, leaving his friends to fall asleep in silence.

Crutchie came back, smiling at the sight of his friends, placing his cup on the coffee table and kissing Finch's forehead.

He sat down and looked at the TV, drifting into a peaceful sleep.

I'm not sure if this is good, but I thought it would be fun to write something without dialogue. (Edit: I wanted to write a Hanukkah chapter, but then I learned that it already passed)
