Growing Pains

Standing in the Lockwood, Aspen looks down at Klaus' burnt body which is still lying in a coffin with chains around him

Tyler/Klaus: "It's beautiful, isn't it?" he says, surprising her a little and she turns to face him

Aspen: "What is that doing here, Klaus? The deal we made with Tyler was that you'd leave his body and jump into someone else's the first chance you got."

Tyler/Klaus: "Yes. When I assumed I'd be a pile of ash. But apparently fate and oxygen intervened, and there I am. Put me back."

Aspen: "I can't right now."

Tyler/Klaus: "Your history teacher outed Tyler and Caroline to the council. They're on the war path and this body's vulnerable."

Aspen: "It takes time."

Klaus: "Time is not something we have."

Aspen: "There are a few things I need to get. It's gonna be even harder now that I have to sneak around town..." she trails off, muttering the last part "Just hang tight for a bit. Don't worry, you'll be back in your body by tonight" she declares, heading out the cellar "Do not go anywhere." she orders, walking out as he huffs, looking down at his body

Caroline: "Isla, hi" she breathes, opening the front door to see said woman standing outside "How-how have you been?"

Isla: "The cravings are under control. Everything else is just...one day at a time." she sighs as Caroline give her a soft look

Caroline: "I'm sorry about Klaus." she softly says

Isla: "I'm sorry about, Tyler was it?"

Caroline: "Yeah."

Isla: "Is, uh, Aspen here?"

Caroline: "No she's not. Technically I'm not supposed to be here either...and neither should you." she suddenly remembers, perking up as she hurries out the door

Isla: "What? Why?"

Caroline: "The council knows about us and they're on a mission to capture every vampire in town so, we really gotta go" she informs, pushing towards her car as her phone begins ringing "Mom. Hey."

Liz: "Caroline, where are you? And tell me it's far away."

Caroline: "Where am I? Good question. Uh, just a whole lot of boring highways. Why? Is everything ok?"

Heading towards the driver's side a man comes up behind Caroline, injecting vervain into her neck

Caroline: "Isla...run!" she pants just before passing out

Liz: "Caroline, what's going on?"

Isla goes to attack the man but a vervain dart is shot through her back, making her sway in her steps before falling to the ground

Sitting on top of the coffin with a bored expression Tyler/Klaus looks down at his phone in annoyance when it begins ringing once again

Tyler/Klaus: "Ah, you incessant woman" he groans, taking a deep breath before answering "Hey, mom. What's up?"

Carol: "Tyler, thank God. Are you ok?"

Tyler/Klaus: "Fine. Why? What's going on?"

Carol: "Pastor Young had me arrested this morning. The council grilled me on your whereabouts. Tyler, don't tell me where you are. The less I know, the better."

Tyler/Klaus: "Mom, I'm ok. Relax."

Carol: "You didn't answer your phone, honey. I was so scared that you were with Caroline."
