Lying in her bed, Aspen hears the doorbell ring. Turning over she pulls the blankets closer to her as she hopes for the person to go away. A loud knock is suddenly heard, making her sigh in annoyance before flinging her covers back and she gets out of bed.
Aspen: "What?" she snaps when she flings the door open, quickly changing her stance when seeing the person on the other side "Elijah." she breathes
Elijah: "Sorry to disturb you."
Aspen: "No, it's...it's ok" she shakes her head, brushing some hair out her face "What are you doing here?"
Elijah: "Heard about what happened with Alaric. How are you?" he grabs hold of one of her hands to look over the bandage
Aspen: "Better" she nods "Sleep helped numb the pain and Isla gave me a spell to speed up the healing. Just, uh, didn't feel like watching the holes close."
Elijah: "I'm so sorry that happened."
Aspen: "Nothing you could've done" she waves him off "But you didn't come here for me." she gives him a knowing look
Elijah: "Alaric's situation is what drew me here. Hearing about you...just made me speed up" he says, making a smile come to her face as he lightly squeezes her hand "I was also hoping you'd know where Niklaus is. He's not answering his phone."
Aspen: "Yeah, about that."

Elena: "Stefan..." she calls out, gaining his and Matt's attention as they look over at where she's standing at the front door with Aspen and Elijah in the doorway
Stefan: "Elijah."
Elijah: "Hello again." he smiles

Elijah: "All we need is to take that stake away from him. Once he's been disarmed, the weapon's in my possession, my family will scatter to the ends of the earth. And Alaric will follow us." he proposes as the four sit in Elena's kitchen
Stefan: "And you'll just...run?"
Elijah: "We've done it before. Klaus and Rebekah spent the better part of a thousand years evading my father. What's another half century while Elena's able to live out the rest of her natural life?"
Elena: "We finally stopped him, Elijah. After everything that he's done to us, I can't just let you bring him back."
Elijah: "I give you my word, Elena. I will not revive Klaus within yours, nor even within your children's lifetimes. Perhaps it'll finally teach him some manners."
Matt: "Why should she trust you? All you've done is screw her over."
Elijah: "And for that, I'm deeply ashamed. But know this...she could have been dead the instant I walked through that door tonight. So, Elena, I leave it to you to make the decision whether to trust me or not."
