Aspen: "What do you mean you're ditching clean up committee?" she asks on the phone as she heads towards the cafeteria

Caroline: "Got a Tyler/Klaus situation." she sighs

Aspen: "The whole reason I got out of bed this morning was because of you."

Caroline: "So you let Stefan in on your feelings for him. It's not like he flatout said no."

Aspen: "Yeah, well, he's probably figuring out a way to let me down easy."

Caroline: "Aspen..."

Aspen: "It's the truth. We all know that when it comes to Elena, she's Stefan's number one pick" she sighs as she stands in front of the cafeteria doors "I gotta go. I'll see you later at the Grill."

Caroline: "Okay. Don't give up hope. At least not until you talk to him." she encourages as Aspen hangs up

Going to walk into the room, Aspen stops when she hears a thud in the distance and a swooshing movement behind her, making her turn to look in all directions

Aspen: "Hello?" she calls out

Not seeing or hearing anything else she shakes her head, heading into the cafeteria where she sees Rebekah throwing some stuff into a small trash can

Aspen: "Where's Matt?"

Rebekah: "He bailed. Got called into work at the last minute."

Aspen: "Seriously?" she groans "I was planning on having him do all the work for me."

Rebekah: "Yeah, well plans change. And you're late. Clean-up committee started at 8 o' clock."

Aspen: "It's like 8:02." she scoffs

Rebekah: "Exactly. I managed to turn up on time and I didn't even get to attend the dance that I organized." her breath hitches for a moment before she moves over to the bigger trash can and Aspen turns to give her a soft look

Aspen: "I'm sorry about your mom. I mean, I know you like hated her and she was a real bitch and everything, but...still I'm sorry."

Rebekah: "I'm sorry about your teacher. He seemed like a nice guy."

Aspen: "Yeah, he was."

Rebekah: "Something else wrong?" she asks, making Aspen furrow her brows a little "Supernatural hearing." she points to her ear

Aspen: "I may or may not have told someone I like to pick me over their...whatever she is now...who he has been in love with since he came back to town."

Rebekah: "Stefan?"

Aspen: "On a scale of one to a thousand how pathetic is that?" she sadly says, making Rebekah give her a soft look

Rebekah: "It's not pathetic. Sometimes it's good to put your heart out there."

Aspen: "Doesn't feel like it right now. All it feels like is I embarrassed myself and possibly ruined my friendship." she shrugs

Rebekah: "I'm gonna get started on the gym."

Aspen: "I'll be in there..." she nods, looking around the room with a sigh "Eventually."

Walking down the hallway, Rebekah slows in her steps as she watches Alaric come around a corner with a hard look on his face

Rebekah: "You're supposed to be dead."

Alaric: "I am."

Speeding forward, Rebekah goes to attack him but he pins her against the lockers, holding the stake over her heart. Just as he goes to stab her, Aspen uses her powers to throw him off of her and with the help of her magic, Rebekah pins him against the lockers and stabs him with the stake. They watch as he groans in pain before slowly pulling the stake out. Their eyes widen in shock and when he looks up he sees that the pair is no longer in the hallway. Arriving at her car, the two go to get in when Alaric speeds up behind Aspen and grabs hold of her hair and puts her in a chokehold. Rebekah goes to move forward to help but Aspen's voice stops her
