The Hybrid

Klaus: "You ok? Is Ray getting heavy?" he looks back at where Stefan is carrying Ray over his shoulders

Stefan: "I'm fine."

Klaus: "You sure about that? You know, we've been walking for quite some time now. If you need some water or a little sit-down."

Stefan: "You know, I get that we're, uh-we're stuck together, but if we could maybe just skip the chitchat, that'd be great."

Aspen: "You sure you're okay?" She softly asks him and he nods his head

Klaus: "So much brooding. Your self-loathing is suffocating you, my friend."

Stefan: "Maybe it's 'cause I'm a little tired of hunting werewolves. We've been at it all summer."

Klaus: "Thanks to our pal Ray, we found ourselves a pack. There." they come across an opening where a group of people are setting up shop and the four move forward, gaining their attention as Stefan drops Ray on the ground

Woman: "Ray! Oh, my God. What's going on? Who are you?"

Klaus: "The important question is who am I. Please forgive the intrusion. My name is Klaus." he says as they back away a little

Woman: "You're the hybrid."

Klaus: "You've heard of me. Fantastic." he smirks and Isla raises her hand as a circle of fire surrounds everyone before it slowly goes down

Klaus: "It's fascinating, actually...a werewolf who isn't beholden to the moon, a vampire who doesn't burn in the sun. A true hybrid" he sits on a log along with the other three as Ray gasps awake and flails in his spot a little "Excellent timing, Ray. Very dramatic."

Ray: "What's happening to me?"

Klaus: "Stefan?"

Stefan: "Are any of you human? Your friend here needs human blood to complete his transition to vampire. If he doesn't get it, he will die."

Klaus: "Doesn't take much, just a sample. Anyone? A boyfriend, a girlfriend, along for the ride?" he looks around before setting his gaze on a man "You." he rushes over, biting into his wrist before throwing his too Stefan who leans him down next to Ray

Woman: "No!" she tries to stop them but Isla uses her powers to hold her in her spot as she struggles

Stefan: "If you don't drink it, Ray, I will. Problem is I don't know how to stop."

Klaus: "It's the new order, sweetheart. You join us, or you die." he steps up to the woman who's stuck in her spot

Woman: "I'd rather die than be a vampire."

Klaus: "Wrong choice" he bites into his wrist, forcing it in her mouth as Ray drinks from the man "She'll thank me for that later. Heh" he snaps her neck and she falls to the ground as he looks around "Ok, who's next?"

Klaus: "There" he finishes giving the man some of his blood to heal him as he lays on the ground "Good as new. Now you relax, ok, mate? We're gonna need you when the rest of them wake up."

Ray: "They're dead. They're all dead."

Klaus: "Ah, he's through his transition. He should be feeling better soon."

Stefan: "So is this your master plan? Build an army of hybrid slaves?"

Klaus: "No, not slaves. Soldiers, comrades."

Aspen: "Don't you need a war in order to have soldiers?" she asks and Stefan points at her in agreement

Klaus: "Oh, you don't arm yourself after war has been declared, sweetheart. You build your army so big that no one ever dares pick the fight."
