Jeremy: "You brought me to see a girl movie." he sighs, walking beside Elena as they enter the park

Elena: "We had to get out of the house, Jer. This is our 3-hour distraction from reality."

Jeremy: "Is that what we're doing? Pretending like our lives aren't screwed?"

Elena: "We need to do this, ok? Breathe, eat, sleep, wake up, and do it all over again until one day, it's just not as hard anymore." she sighs as they unfold a blanket

Caroline: "Hey! There you guys are." she greets, coming over to the pair with Aspen beside her

Aspen: "You hungry?" she holds up the picnic basket in her hands

Jeremy: "Are we really doing this?"

Caroline: "Yes, we are really doing this. We are going to take a page from Scarlett. We made it through the war. I know you guys went through hell, and my mom knows I am a vampire and that Aspen is a witch, so basically it's like Atlanta has burned. And yet, in spite of everything, we persevere." she gives them an encouraging smile as Elena looks up at Jeremy with a small nod and he sighs

Jeremy: "All right. What are we eating?"

Caroline: "Something good."

Aspen: "Also swiped this from the Grill" she pulls out a bottle of alcohol and hands it Jeremy "Figured you might need this."

Jeremy: "Thanks."

Aspen: "Listen I'm uh...I'm sorry about my mom. She was the one who suggested Klaus use Jenna."

Elena: "It's not your fault, Aspen. We know you didn't have anything to do with it."

Aspen: "Yeah. Just sucks that she was a part of it."

Caroline: "I still can't believe you birth mom and Klaus are together."

Aspen: "Don't exactly think they're together. It's...complicated."

Caroline: "It's still weird."

Walking out the Grill down the sidewalk, Isla is suddenly sped into an alleyway. She looks up to see Stefan standing in front of her, making her sigh a little

Isla: "You know if you wanted to talk all you had to do was call."

Stefan: "You knew what Klaus was going to do. You let him kill Jenna."

Isla: "Despite what everyone might think Klaus doesn't exactly follow my orders."

Stefan: "You could've stopped him."

Isla: "I stopped him to an extent. He was all up for killing Caroline in the sacrifice, I simply gave him another option."

Stefan: "You could've given him another option."

Isla: "Oh yeah? Like who? You?"

Stefan: "Somebody not related to Elena. She had to watch a family member die."

Isla: "And it's tragic, believe me I know. I had to watch my entire family die, remember. But Klaus wasn't going to take some random person off the street so Jenna was the logical choice."

Stefan: "How could you do that to her?"

Isla: "I have no loyalty to Elena, I don't even know her." she shakes her head with a scoff

Stefan: "You don't know Aspen, either. Sure seems like you're doing everything to protect her."

Isla: "I birthed Aspen. She was in my womb for nine months. I gave her up and that killed me. So yeah, if it comes down to helping either her or your girlfriend, I'm gonna go with her."
