Maya's P.O.V
I knew that there was something that Massimo wasn't telling me and I also knew that if he didn't want to tell me he wouldn't no matter how many times I asked him. So that's why I for now left the topic but I wasn't going to let it go that easily.
As I walked out of his office room one of his men immediately entered. I knew he wanted to inform something to Massimo but because of my presence he didn't. I mean ok I understood that he must've got something important related to his business which he didn't want to discuss in front of me but I just couldn't get this feeling away that there was something suspicious going on!
I walked away from his office room and towards the living room. As I reached I heard voices coming from the living room. Enzo, Marcos and Marcelo were sitting in the living room talking / arguing with each other.
"Hey tesoro! You came on right time." Enzo said as he saw me coming. I walked towards them at sat down on the couch.
"What happened?" I asked.
"We were just arguing about who's more handsome out of us all." He said. "And I've been trying to make them understand that it's obviously me but they beg to differ." I heard both Marcos and Marcelo snorting at this.
"Just because you think that you're more handsome that doesn't mean that it's true!" Marcos said. "Besides Marcelo and I we are Romano twins, the most handsome men in all over Italy." He said smugly.
Now this time Enzo snorted. "Why don't we ask someone who would judge without getting partial and would definitely say the right thing?" As he said that all of their eyes fell on me.
"Oh no no no...keep me out of this!" I said as they looked at me with puppy dog eyes? I wanted to chuckle at their faces.
"Oh come on Maya! Only you can burst Enzo's bubble of misunderstanding." Marcelo said. "Please tell your Zozo that he ain't the most handsome man."
"Oh sta zitto!" Enzo said something in Italian. "Tell them tesoro who's more handsome out of us all?" He asked.
(Shut up)
I bit down on my lip as my eyes followed from him to Marcos and Marcelo. To be honest they all were super handsome and any woman would drool with just a look from them but since I wasn't attracted towards them in that way especially Enzo, they all were pretty same for me.
"I can't. I mean you all are handsome for me and I can't just take one name. You all win!" They groaned in disapproval at this.
"Oh come on it's not like as if we are kids and if you only take one name then the other two will get upset. We are mature adults!" Enzo exclaimed.
Before I could say something an unfamiliar masculine voice sounded. "What's going on in here?" And as I turned around to look at the person my eyes collided with the pair of ocean blue eyes. He was unfamiliar. I hadn't seen him here before. He was without any doubt a gorgeous man. Blue eyes, black ruffled hairs and perfectly shaped jaw & cheekbones with a subtle beard. I blushed as I looked away when his eyes landed on me and as I moved my gaze it fell on him who was standing beside this unfamiliar man. I looked down as Massimo slightly narrowed his eyes at me.
"Mr. King!" I heard Enzo saying and then I saw him going towards who now I assumed was Mr. King and they bro hugged each other.
"Long time no see." Enzo said as they pulled away from the hug. "How have you been?" They started walking towards the living room. "I've been good." He replied.
"Hey man!" Both Marcos and Marcelo stood up from their spot and just like Enzo they greeted him as well. From the way they were behaving it looked like they were familiar with each other and knew each other very well. I squirmed awkwardly on my spot as they all settled down on the couch and Mr. King looked at me with curiosity.
"And who's this gorgeous lady might be?" I heard him saying to no one in particular. My eyes looked up at him and our eyes collided. He smirked at me to which I bit down on my lip and looked away and again my eyes fell on now kind of angry looking Massimo?
"Oh she's Maya." Marcos introduced me. "And Maya this is Liam King. He's a good friend of us." He said. Out of respect I smiled at him to which he smiled back and tried not to blush again because how gorgeous his smile was! 'Control your hormones Maya!' I scolded myself mentally.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Maya." Liam said with that smirk like smile on his face.
"So, what brought you here?" Enzo asked him. "Oh nothing important. Just something business related." Liam replied nonchalantly.
"I heard you guys arguing over something what was it?" As Liam asked that I tried to just get away from there without being noticed.
"Oh yes! Thanks for reminding. We almost forgot that!" As Marcos said that I sighed in frustration.
"We were actually arguing over who was more handsome among us." Marcelo then explained him everything. When Marcelo finished Liam smirked at me and I didn't know why but I felt like as if something fishy was going on in his mind.
"Well in that case you've now two more candidates." Liam said. "Now out of all of us...." As he said that he gestured towards all of them including Massimo. "who do you think is more handsome?" All of their eyes including Massimo's fell on me.
"That's not fare." Enzo said all of a sudden. "I mean I was confident that she'd say my name because she's my tesoro but now since you've added Massimo's name as well." I glared at Enzo because I knew what he was about to say. "I know she's going to take his name since he's more handsome for her. Actually the only handsome man would be right thing to to say." He didn't just say that!
My mouth was agape opened as I looked at the person I thought of as a brother with shock/surprise/anger/bewilderment. 'I'm going to kill him! Even if he's like a brother to me and is maybe like twice my size!' A deep husky chuckle took me out of the trance. My eyes landed on the owner of the chuckle and I found him looking at me with a smirk. To say my mouth was red from embarrassment would be an understatement. 'What does he find so funny in this?' I thought as I looked at Massimo's face.
"Is that so?" Liam then said. Now all of them were looking at me with amazement. 'Ya they're having fun time in embarrassing a poor little girl!'
Before they could embarrass me even more god saved me as I heard Martha's voice. "What's going - Oh mio dio! Liam mio ragazzo!" The cheerfulness in her voice made it clear that she knew him as well. If Martha also knew him then he must've been a really close friend to Massimo.
"Martha!" Liam stood up from his spot as he hugged Martha who gave him a motherly hug and pecked him on head lovingly.
"Where's my other favourite lady?" He asked and soon enough Gabrielle came as well. Just like Martha she hugged him and gave her a motherly peck.
"You've got no idea how happy it makes us both when we see all of our loving kids together like this under one roof." Gabrielle said getting a little emotional. "It's like reunion of our kids!" I smiled at this. "But there was always the absence of a daughter among all of our sons which Maya has already completed!" Awwww. I pouted at this and I couldn't help but to give them both a hug.
Massimo's P.O.V
A small smile spread on my lips as I saw Martha and Gabrielle hugging Maya. I couldn't help but to feel warm inside my heart as I saw how much they now cared for Maya and how in short span of time Maya had become so close to all them. It wouldn't be a lie to say that Martha & Gabrielle had started to love her more than they loved me! 'They couldn't help. She's just so lovely!' My subconscious mind had been behaving like a teenage girl lately. 'Don't forget I'm your subconscious mind. We're same!'
After she had left my office Mr. King or should I say my very good partner Liam king the head of American Mafia walked in. Liam was the one because of which I had good relations with American underworld. In the beginning we had few clashes but then we eventually got our issues settled and now we had become a good alliance. American mafia was the second largest in the world, mine was obviously the first and that was the reason why others had problems with me because they couldn't see two strongest mafias together in an alliance.
When I had started getting threats first through an envelope and then on the wall, I had contacted Liam and told him about the situation. Even though I was well capable of taking them down him down but I didn't want to be overconfident since I knew how low they could stoop, I wanted someone to have my back just in case and Liam was the right person. We not only did business together but we were more like friends. Even though he lived all the way back in America he still somehow managed to come meet us here and there and that was why he was good acquaintance with everyone including Martha and Gabrielle.
After discussing about the situation the first thing that he asked me was who was the girl in photos and why would he wanted to have her. Also, if she was really his like the way he was claiming in those envelopes then what was she doing with me? I didn't say anything to his questions. We just walked out my office and started to walk towards the living room. 'I guess he'll eventually figure out why she is here with you?'
"I think I've kind of started to understand why she's here and why you had to ask for my help." Liam said to me lowly. I looked at him only to find an amusing smirk on his face. "I mean just look at her. She's cute, smart and beautiful. Not to forget that everyone's already smitten by her." The way he pressurised on everyone's didn't go unnoticed by me.
I didn't say anything and just rolled my eyes as I shook my head. I then heard Liam's chuckle. "Don't worry dude she looks quite smitten by you all as well." Again the way he said you didn't go unnoticed by me.
"I really don't know what's going on inside that mischievous mind of yours and to be honest I didn't want to know." I looked at him with a serious expression now. "Because we've got some other much important things right now to worry about."

Later that day, it was around 9 pm. Liam didn't return back to America since he said that it would be better if he stayed here and looked at the matter in hands from close. I agreed to this. So, now he had got a guest room in my mansion. Since he was here for after a long time even though he was here like 2 months ago but Martha and Gabrielle said so we couldn't argue, they wanted to have a dinner together. All of us together in the dining room by 9 pm were their instructions.
So, that's why right now I was making my way towards the dining room. As I was about to turn the hallway I collided with something soft. I then heard a small gasp. As I looked down my eyes collided with her eyes. I didn't realise when but I found my arms wrapped around his waist. I must've when we collided in order to not make her fall. A smirk came on my lips as I saw a tint of red covering her cheeks. Did I ever mention how much I liked it when she goes all red?!
"I'm sorry. I didn't see you coming." She apologised as she shyly tuck her long tendril of hair behind her ear. 'Is she for real? I mean is she the same girl who was so persistent into getting the information out of me about that envelope? I mean she was so confident then and now here she is getting all shy.'
"It's alright. Just watch where you're going." I said to which she goddamn bit down on her lip before nodding her head a little.'Why did she has to fucking bite down on her lip?!' I cleared my throat as I tried not to freed her lip out of her teeth and replacing it with mine.
"Are you coming to the dining room?" I heard her asking.
"Yes. That's where I'm actually going right now." I said.
"Oh ok." She said.
"You're not coming?" I asked since she was going to the opposite direction of the dining room.
"I'm actually coming from there. Martha wanted me to go and call Liam to come down for the dinner." She informed. I narrowed my eyes slightly as I felt her cheeks burned a little when she said Liam's name. 'Why is she blushing at the mentioning of his name? Does she find him attractive?' I couldn't help but to think. Liam was obviously very handsome and well built, it wasn't a surprise to see girls getting attracted towards him but just the thought of her possibly attracted towards him even the slightest bit irked me.
"Martha did inform everyone to come down for dinner tonight then what is the need of personally calling him?" I said as I tried to not sound harsh/annoyed.
"It's not a big deal. Martha thought he must've forgot about it that's why she told me to go and call him." She sighed before saying.
"In that case you go I'll check on him." I said to which she gave me a weird look. I found it cute how she'd twitch her nose a little and those lines on her forehead & crinkles by her eyes, they'd just add to her cuteness.
"Fine." She said and turned around to go back to the dining room. As she started to walk away I couldn't stop my eyes from wandering south. I bit down on my lip as I saw the way her cute little bum would move with every step she took.

After calling Liam for the dinner we together went down towards the dining room. As we reached I saw everyone was already seated.
"Come inside mio figlio." Martha gestured us to come inside and take a seat as she saw us.
I went straight to my chair the head chair and Liam sat next to my left. Enzo was on my right like always. Beside Liam Marcelo and Marcos was sitting and Maya was sitting beside Enzo. An involuntary small smile came up on my lips as I saw Enzo and her arguing over something. 'Sometimes they act like siblings.'
I didn't notice that I was still looking at her as she now playfully pulled her tongue out at Enzo. Her eyes then landed on me and when she noticed me looking at her she looked away as she put her tongue back inside and blushed a little. A clearing of throat from my left side made me look away from her and my eyes landed on an amused looking Liam. He playfully wiggled his eyebrows at me and then gestured towards her to which I just rolled my eyes.
"I'm quite astonished to see you the most ruthless & fearsome man around the world smiling like this." I heard Liam said lowly for only me to hear. "I mean it's nothing wrong with smiling but when it's you who's smiling, I'm really curious to know what caused you to smile." I saw a smirk coming on his face.
Dinner went by normally. The usual chitter-chatter here and there. Mostly Enzo and my mischievous brother Marcelo would talk stupid and weird things but this time Liam joined them as well. The trio was trying to irritate the hell out of me by indirectly turning every topic towards her.
"So, for how long are you thinking of staying here?" Enzo asked Liam.
"For as long as my presence is needed here." Liam replied as he gave me a knowing look. Enzo must've understood that it was something related to our business that's why he didn't ponder further.
"You know I was thinking since you're also here-" Marcelo said looking at Liam. "-we should plan on going somewhere all of us." He continued. "I mean it's been a long since we all went out together and now Maya is also here, we should plan an outing."
"That's not going to happen." I said as soon as he finished. I mean I had no problem with them going out. If they wanted to go and had fun after a long time by all means they could go but I didn't want Maya to join them. I wasn't letting her go out of here. Not after that incident and especially since someone was threatening her.
"I know brother after what happened last time you've become a little cautious but we weren't ready for that incident. But this time we will be having full security with us." Marcelo exclaimed. "This time we will be cautious and we will be on full alert. Non permetteremo a nessun danno di avvicinarsi a lei fratello!" He said in all seriousness.
(We will not allow any harm to get close to her brother.)
I looked at my brother who was looking dead serious. As I moved my gaze I noticed that all of them agreed to what Marcelo had said. They surely wouldn't let any harm come to her!
