Massimo's P.O.V
I made my way back to Maya's room after dealing with my men. As I entered her room Marcelo and Marcos were sitting beside her on the bed trying to console her.
"You're fine. Whoever that bastard was I'm sure brother will find him." I heard Marcelo saying. 'Ofcourse! I'll find him & make him pay!'
She looked up at me as I now stood near her bed. Even though she was now a little fine but there was still a hint of fear in her eyes. Both Marcos and Marcelo stood up from her bed. "You should go to sleep now. Rest." Marcos said and then after giving her an assuring smile they walked out of the room leaving us alone.
I cleared my throat as I sat down on the bed on the other side in front of her. "You okay now?" I asked.
"I'm fine." She said. "And thank you." I looked at her. She gave me a small smile. I knew it was a fake one because she wasn't in a position to smile and it made something inside me sank as I saw how vulnerable she looked.
'The incident must've affected her that much!'
"It's late you should go to sleep. Don't worry you're safe now. Nothing will happen to you I promise." I assured her as I stood up from the bed. "Good night then." and with that I walked towards the door.
"W-Wait." I halted in my steps as I heard her. I turned in my place and looked at her. She wasn't looking at me, her eyes were casted down. "What happened?" I asked.
I saw her fidgeting with her fingers as she looked up at me. "I-I'm still a little scared." She said in a low voice. "I don't think I'll be getting any sleep here." I walked towards her. "Do you want another room?" I asked. "If that's what you want then I can arrange another room."
She continued fidgeting with her fingers as she now bit down on her lip. It was as if she wanted to say something but didn't know how to.
"Thanks but another room isn't going to help me into sleeping." I furrowed my eyebrows. 'What does she want me to do then?' And before I could say my thought out loud she sighed heavily before saying something I wasn't expecting at all.
Maya's P.O.V
I knew I was going to regret what I just said but I couldn't think of anything else to say. I was sure that I wouldn't get any sleep if I slept in the room all alone. So I asked him if he could stay. Yes! Jeez I myself couldn't believe I just said that but I'd blame that on my scared self who didn't want to sleep alone after what happened!
Besides it wasn't as if we were going to sleep together in the same bed. There was a big couch in the room as well so he could sleep there. 'But why do you think he'd say yes to sleeping here?' My subconscious mind got a point. Why would he? What if he didn't want to sleep here on the couch? I mean he surely would rather sleep on his own bed than here on the couch.
My heart sank a little. If that happened I had to stay awake all night. Now, you must be thinking that I was overreacting but I wasn't! I mean just think about it. How would you react if you were sleeping peacefully and then all of a sudden you felt an unknown person's presence in your room. To say I got scared would be an understatement. Even though I had no idea what that man said but it sounded something cruel to me and it just felt wrong!
Also, since I already had problem with reacting in situations like these which would usually end up in me getting a panic attack. So blame this on my condition if I said that I couldn't sleep alone after what happened.
I kept fidgeting with my fingers as I waited for him to say something. He didn't say anything and was just looking at me. 'Ugh...just say no if you don't want to but stop looking at me like this!' I thought in mind.
"You know forget it. It's ok um you should go. I'll try to get some sleep." I said since he wasn't saying anything.
"Okay." He said to which I sighed. 'Guess who isn't getting any sleep tonight?' I waited for him to walk out of the room but when he didn't I looked up at him. He was still standing there. I furrowed my eyebrows.
"I said okay." He then said.
"Ya I heard that now you should probably go-" I stopped mid sentence when I realised what he meant.
"Okay as in okay?" I asked just to make sure.
He stood there with hands in his pockets. "I don't think there's any other meaning of ok, is it?" He said as he walked further inside the room.
I didn't say anything because I didn't know what to say. I mean I wasn't actually expecting him to stay here. I thought he'd straight out say no but he didn't and even though I didn't want to feel anything but it made my heart flutter a little.
The door of the room as well as of the balcony was now closed. The only light that was lighting the room was the dimly lit ceiling lights. Even though the room was big enough but I all of a sudden felt very close to him. I laid down on the bed while looking at him through my peripheral vision. He was sitting on the couch facing me. Even though my face wasn't towards him but I could still feel his gaze on me. I sighed as I pulled the duvet and covered myself with it. I closed my eyes as I tried to sleep.
My eyes immediately opened as I heard footsteps. I saw Massimo now walking towards the balcony door. He checked it as if trying to make sure it was properly locked. I closed my eyes as he turned my way. I again heard him moving and then sitting on the couch.
"So, did you have fun during the pool party?" I nearly jumped as I heard his voice all a sudden. I didn't say anything. I blushed a little as I remembered the pool scene. I tried to act like as if I was sleeping because I didn't know exactly what to say.
"I know you're up." I heard him saying to which I opened my eyes and turned my head only to find him looking at me already. He was now lying on the couch on his right side facing me.
"I only asked you to stay, not to have a chit chat with you." I said nonchalantly.
"And if I wanted to I could've said no to staying here but I didn't. So, don't you think you should be a little grateful?" He said to which I chuckled a humourless chuckle.
"So you now want me to be grateful to you? What do you want me to do? Be your slave because you're showing your kindness!" I said sarcastically. "Whatever happened tonight was because of you because it was you those people were after not me!" I turned around as I sat straight. "Nothing would've happened in the first place if you hadn't kidnapped me!" I was getting frustrated. "So, pardon me if I'm being ungrateful" I laid back as I turned my back towards him.
'I shouldn't have asked him to stay here!'
And then it happened! It happened so fast that I didn't get time to register what was actually happening. One moment I was laying on my right side backing towards him and the next moment I was being turned around and then there he was hovering his body over mine.
My eyes widened. 'What the heck is he doing?' Before I could push him away with my hands he immediately with his one hand moved my hands away and secured them above my head in his grip. My eyes widened even more if that was even possible.
"What the he-" And before I could complete my sentence he put his hand over my mouth silencing me.
"Sta 'zitto!" He whispered-yelled in Italian and if I wasn't angry with him I would've definitely swooned over his thick Italian voice.
(Be Quiet)
I muffled under his hand as I tried to get him away from me. I got completely stilled as he lowered his body over mine even though there was still gap between us but it wasn't enough for me to not feel his body heat.
"How many times I've to tell you to not disrespect me amore hmm?" He asked in his thick italian accent as he looked into my widened eyes.
I tried to say something but again it got muffled under his hand.
"No. You'll not speak. You'll only listen this time." He said. "I know damn well that those people were my enemies and were after me! You almost got into danger because of me." I saw his jaw clenching. "And that's why I'm here because I know you've got affected by what happened." His breathing got heavy. "So pardon me if I was just trying to divert your mind by talking about the pool party."
He pulled his hand away from my mouth but I didn't say anything. I just laid there under him, looking at him and taking in what he just said. 'I know you're never going to forget about the kidnapping thing but you got to admit he was really just trying to help you this time!' I guess my subconscious mind was right.
I was so into my thoughts that I didn't ponder that much thought over our position and I guess he didn't as well until now. I saw him looking at me with a different look in his eyes now. I wanted to look away from his intense gorgeous dark brown eyes but I just couldn't help but to keep looking into his eyes as well. I involuntary licked my lips as I felt them getting dry and the action obviously didn't go unnoticed by him as his eyes now moved down to my lips.
I blushed as it reminded me of the time when we had kissed twice. 'What about the almost making out?' My dirty mind was only making me blush even more.
"Un momento voglio sculacciarti rosso e poi l'altro momento voglio baciarti a morte!" My breath hitched as he moved his head downward.
(One moment I want to spank you red and then the other moment I want to kiss you to death!)
"Cosa mi stai facendo amore?" The way he said that it was as if he was asking me something but obviously I didn't understand because it was in gibber- I mean Italian. I got a little irritated because I didn't know what he just said.

Massimo's P.O.V
What was she doing to me? One moment she made me feel so angry and riled up with her words and the next moment I just wanted to kiss the hell out of her! I groaned as I realised the position I had put us in. Her under me was something I had always wanted but now that she was really under me with that confused, cute/irritated look on her face, it just made me want to irritate her even more and to get a reaction out of her!
'So you don't want to take advantage of the position you two are in and instead just want to look at her cute face?' Weird right? I knew, but what I didn't know was what was wrong with me?!
As I was hovering over her, the close proximity reminded me of the time when we had kissed and the almost make out session. I knew it reminded her that as well because I could see her getting blush. She was looking so freaking tempting with that blush on her face and also the confusing look she got everytime someone would talk in italian. I so wanted to just dip my head a little and captured her lips with mine!
"Stop" I heard her saying. Only then I realised I really started to move my head towards her. I stopped as she said that even though I didn't want to. I looked away from her as I clenched my jaw. 'I really want to kiss her but if she doesn't want to I can't fucking force her!'
I started to get away from her only to get stopped by her. "Wait!" I halted as I looked back at her. I waited for her to say whatever she wanted to. "Um what are you doing?" She asked to which I furrowed my eyebrows.
"Getting up or do you want me stay like this for the entire night?" I asked and again she blushed. 'I'm definitely liking the idea of staying on top of her for the entire night!'
"Ofcourse not!" She immediately said. "I just um I thought you were going to um I thought -" She started blabbering. 'I don't understand this girl sometimes. What does she want now?' I sighed as I started to get up. "-I thought you were going to kiss me." I again halted as those words escaped her mouth.
I looked back at her only to find her eyes tightly closed as she now cutely bit down on her lip. She looked like a kid who said something she shouldn't have. A smirk came up on my lips as I realised exactly what she meant.
I hovered over her again completely. This time the gap was very little between us. I again pulled both of her hands above her head keeping them in my grip. I saw her face relaxing and then she slowly opened her eyes.
"I was going to kiss you yes but then you stopped me." I said. Because of our close proximity our faces were close as well and I could feel her breath on my face.
"Yes I stopped you because I wanted to ask you something." She said. Her breathing got heavier now as I started to move my face towards her. "What is it?" I whispered near her ear. I heard her gulping as I nuzzled my face in the crook of her neck. 'Oh god her smell! It's so enticing.' I wanted to take a whiff but that would definitely look weird.
"I-I wanted to ask the meaning of what you s-said to me in italian." She said now getting breathless. A chuckled escaped my lips at what she said.
"You sure you want to know what I said?" I asked with a smirk to which she nodded.
I kept my gaze on her as I looked straight into her eyes. "One moment you made me want to spank you red and then the other moment I want to kiss you to death." And with that I captured her mouth with mine. I groaned as I felt her soft lips on mine. I kissed her lips as if it was some sweet candy. Beneath me she trembled as she kissed me back. I tightened my hand's grip around hers a little.
I licked her bottom lip as I bit down on it and then sucked on it. I tried to enter my tongue in her mouth but the little tease that she was she didn't open her mouth so I did what I thought would definitely made her mouth open for me. I moved my hips forward in a grinding motion and I smirked against her lips as she gasped. I took that as an opportunity to shove my tongue in her mouth. She moaned as I deepened the kiss. The kiss soon turned into a passionate one. I felt myself getting hard as I sucked on her tongue and she sucked back!
We broke the kiss as we felt breathless. I put my face in the crook of her neck as we both panted. Her chest moving up and down as she tried to catch her breath.
"Massimo." I heard her saying my name to which I looked at her. Her face was now crimson red and her lips were swollen and red because of my assault. She was looking so kissable. "I um I think we should probably sleep now." She said.
I hesitantly stood up, immediately missing her body warmth as I distanced myself from her. I cleared my throat as I slightly nodded my head. I walked towards the couch which was my bed for tonight and laid down on it.
After a while I heard her cute little snores which meant she was now fast asleep while I was still up. I just couldn't sleep because some things had occupied my mind. It surprised me how different and satisfied just simple kissing could make me feel. Something that I had never even felt by having sex with others, but kissing her made me feel that and even more!
'Oh my god! Is the ruthless Massimo Alejandro Romano falling for a girl?!' I sat upright at this stupid thought. Ofcourse not! I could never ever fall in something as stupid as love! 'But I didn't say anything about falling in love?' Was it weird that I could feel my subconscious mind smirking?
I stood up from the couch as I looked around and made sure everything was fine. I then looked at her sleeping peacefully without the care of anything in the world. She looked so serene and calm lying there. I looked away from her as I started to silently move out of the room. As I opened the door I looked back at her sleeping form. An involuntary smile came up on my lips as she turned in her sleep and laid on her stomach as she pulled her one leg out of the duvet.
'But you never really unnecessarily smile Massimo, what changed?' Ignoring my subconscious mind I walked out of the room closing the door behind.
