"Abort mission! ABORT MISSION!" I yell to everyone who was in on the plan.
"Why? What's wrong?" Alexa asks.
"Becky is dating the new guy, Dean."
"What?" Carmella asks. "But just the other day she was down and out about the breakup."
"Exactly!" Peyton said, looking backwards and pointing at Carmella.
"Wait," Billie says, silencing everyone. "Do you guys think Dean is just a rebound?"
A look of realization hits my face. "She's right!" I exclaim. "Billie's right!"
"That Dean is just a rebound?" we hear a voice say in the doorway. It's Charlotte.
"What do you want?" I ask her.
"I happen to have some inside scoop on Becky's relationship with Dean."
I look around the room. Everyone nods. I turn to Charlotte and say, "Spill."
"Becky asked out Dean after her breakup with Sami because she was afraid Sami liked Billie."
"What? That's crazy!" Billie says. "Sami and I are cousins."
"How?" I ask.
"My mom is his dad's first cousin."
"We better go tell Becky," I say. Alexa walks with me. This plan is gonna work. I mean, what are the odds that Becky actually developed feelings for Dean?
