November seventeenth.
"Ugh," I yell out in pain.
"You can get into the pool now baby," Shawn nods trying to help me as I scream. "Sh, sh, sh," he hums. "Calm down, you're ok," he helps me in slowly. I breath out almost unable to take the pain. Adam looks horrified and Shawn's parents are gonna come take him and he'll be spending the day with his grandparents.
"No, no, no not again," I whine as another contraction hits.
"You're ok," he hushes as tears fall down my cheeks. "You're ok," he kisses my forehead. "There we go," he wipes my eyes.
"I'm only eighteen," I cry. "I don't like this," he chuckles a little and kisses my forehead.
"We're very young princess and I know that, but our babies are almost here," the camera crew documents everything that happens. "You're doing this for them, remember?" I sigh nodding.
"How long has it been?" I hold his hands.
"It's been," he looks quickly at the time. "Seventeen and a half hours," he kisses my cheek. I went into labour yesterday but I wasn't moving fast enough to be able to do anything.
"Two weeks late and this is what I get," I lay my head on his shoulder.
"It's ok," he soothes running his hand over my back.
"You can get in with her, mr. Mendes," a nurse nods. "At any time you'd like,"
"You want me to come in with you?" He gives me a gentile hug.
"Mhm," I nod simply trying to focus on anything other than the pain.
"Alright princess," he nods standing and getting into the warm water behind me. Ian and Chrissy talk to the camera as instructed and next will be Jeff and Sydney then Brooke and Geoff. "There you go," he runs his hand over my cheek while I lean back against him.
"Can I push yet?" I keep my eyes closed.
"No not yet sweetheart, you need some more time," the nurse checks quickly. They have everything set up for the arrival of our babies we even have to outfits out with their names on it.
"How close am I to being able to push?" I ask a nurse making Shawn chuckle.
"Three more centimetres," she nods. I almost begin crying at how far I am.
"Hey, you're gonna be alright," the door opens and reveals Shawn's parents.
"Hi," they smile.
"I'm gonna stay with you two alright?" My mom walks up.
"I wanna stay too," Shawn's mom nods.
"Ok," I close my eyes and breath out. "This might very well kill me." I whisper to Shawn.
"Don't say that, you're stronger than you think, and when they come to the world you're gonna be telling me that it was all worth it." He chuckles.
"You've decided on names?" They smile. I nod holding Shawn's hands squeezing them a little while he kisses the crown of my head.
"You're ok," he lays his head atop mine.
"Ok," I breath out. "I just want complete silence," I nod. "Can you all just be really quiet," they nod. Our dads take Adam as our moms wanna stay with us. A cord hits the floor and I hush whoever let it fall.
"Eight centimetres," she nods quietly arranging blankets and towels as the other nurses prepare. I assume they're gonna clean the kids up and wait for us to be ready before we'll really meet them.
"Natural child birth," I whisper to myself. "I want a natural childbirth and I'm going to make it through this," I sigh.
"Yes you will," he nods kissing my neck softly.
"You're about nine centimetres and you should start preparing to birth," the nurse nods.
"Ok," I start shifting a little.
"You comfortable?" Shawn giggles at me.
"Extremely." I roll my eyes. I lean against him my forehead leaned against his and our hands laced together.
"Are you alright," he plants a sweet kiss on my lips.
"I wish I could say yes," I sigh. "You have no idea how much this hurts." I let a tear roll down my cheek.
"I'm sorry I'm putting you through this." He sighs.
"It'll all be worth it," I mock what he told me earlier. "When our little ones get here," I connect our lips briefly.
"Baby I think you're gonna be really happy," he turns me around gently and lets me sit between his legs.
"You can push," the nurse smiles and I breath a breath of relief. Ian, Jeff and Geoff and going to be preparing simple things like the babies swaddling blankets and the girls are getting them cleaned up. I barely listen to what they tell me I just push, with all of my force. Shawn smiles and touches my shrinking bump.
"Dammit," I breath out.
"We've almost got a head, you can do it," they nod. Our mothers want to get the kids dressed and we're gonna let them do the two boys as Shawn wants to do his baby girl. I push again and soon enough I can see the small head and then shoulders and soon one of them's out.
"Oh my god," I breath looking at the child handing him to a nurse. Someone writes down the time and date on the piece of paper as I must begin pushing again.
"You're so close princess, two more," I push again harder than the first time. Pushing out the first baby took thirty minutes and now I don't want the second to be the same. His cries fill the room while they check to make sure he's healthy. Soon enough he's put into his clothes.
"Baby number two," our other little boy who is to be cleaned as well.
"Last one princess come on," I push with everything I have and it takes me only ten minutes to get her out.
"Baby number three," the nurses squeals.
"I'm done?" I lean against Shawn.
"You're done." He nods as I sigh of relief.
"I wanna see them," I squeal.
"Get out of the water first baby," Shawn stands and gets out, holding his hands out for me.
"We've gotta get the placenta and then we'll give you the babies," the baby explains.
"My god," I groan pushing it out much more quickly than the kids.
"There now we'll get you out," Shawn helps me out and wraps me in a towel.
"You've got three healthy babies," in handed the boys while Shawn holds onto our baby girl.
"Shawn," I look at the boys and then at him.
"Baby they're beautiful." He smiles. Kaiden's hands lay together on his chest and Jericho nuzzles his head against my bicep.
"They're beautiful," I smile looking at Mercy, our baby girl. People begin working away at draining the pool but Shawn and I just sit staring at our children.
"Hi princess," Shawn smiles at her open eyes. "Hi baby," he kisses her forehead. "Look at you precious," he runs his fingers over her hand.
"Hello Jericho," I whisper. "Hi baby Kaiden," I smile whispering.
"You wanna hold them?" I look at Shawn. He doesn't respond he's too mesmerized by the little girl. "Shawn," I say a little louder.
"What?" He looks up.
"You wanna hold them?" I smile.
"Sure," he nods taking Kaiden into his arms first before he hands me Mercy and takes Jericho.
"Hi baby girl," I whisper to her. "You're daddy's been waiting a long time to meet you," I kiss her small button nose. She sneezes gently king me smile. "Bless you," I giggle.
"They all look different," he chuckles sitting next to me. "Kaiden's got your eyes," he smiles at the little boy.
"And Jericho's got yours." I giggle. "Mercy looks just like you," I smile at him.
"And the boys look just like you," he rolls his eyes.
"The boys got all of the good looks. Mercy is just lucky she's not entirely you," I tease.
"Ha ha," he rolls his eyes.
"I love you," I picked my lips and he smiles.
"I love you too," he gives me a gentile kiss.
