AUTHOR'S POV
"Unnie relax. Stop being all too anxious."
"Everything will be alright between you and Eemo later." Jennie mumbled encouragingly at the older woman who's been constantly fidgeting the entire time they were baking. Jennie took out a new batch of freshly baked cupcakes from the oven and laid it down on the island counter together with the other trays of cupcakes that they already baked earlier.
"Do you think so Jen-Jen?" Irene asked sounding a little apprehensive which the other one responded with a gummy smile.
"Unnie, it's been what? Five years?"
"I guess Eemo really wants to reconcile and rebuild that relationship between you two."
"Besides, she also invited Seul's Family so I'm pretty sure she really meant it when she said she wanted to change and win you back." Jennie chuckled patting her back.
"Well you have a point there Jen. Jeez I'm just nervous cause it's been five years since we last talk. I don't know how I'm going to greet her nor talk to her later." Irene uttered nervously and Jennie finally turned to her and held both of her hands.
"Unnie, people change. You and your Mom may not always see eye to eye on most things but I'm sure she changed for the better. I've seen in it when she finally met Jamie on one of our family gatherings."
"She's so fond of her and I'm sure she'll go crazy once she met your twins."
"She won't even stop asking me about them whenever she got the chance Unnie."
"I guess she's just a little hesitant reaching out to you, fearing that you would never accept her again for all the hurt she brought you." Jennie confessed which softened her demeanor.
"She said all of that?" Irene asked a little teary eyed which the cat-eyed girl responded with nods.
"Yes Unnie. Maybe she misses you so much. And besides, she's dying to meet your kids. Give her a chance. She isn't getting any younger Unnie."
" I don't want you to live in complete regret that you never had a chance to reconcile with your Mom nor your kids met their Halmi." Jennie said in her most dignified tone as she hand her the piping cream at the now tearing up woman.
"Now start frosting our cupcakes before we start crying here." she uttered with light chuckles as she gently wipe the tears that was now welling up in her cousin's eyes which made them both laugh.
"Where the hell is Chaeyoung by the way?"
"She's supposed to be here since she's the one who offered to help me bake these for Mom that's why we all agreed to do it here in their house." Irene uttered jokingly as she looks up and suppress her tears.
"She's in the couch with Lisa, all knocked out." Jennie answered with a knowing smirk and Irene instantly get it.
"You know, it's her birthday yesterday, maybe Lisa did gave her some birthday treat." she started to giggle and looked at their direction.
"Yah, those horny bitches probably wore each other out last night." she uttered with a smirk.
"Yah, Unnie watch your words. The kids might hear it." Jennie uttered seriously as she looks around but her eyebrows furrowed the moment she noticed something.
"Hang on, where are the kids by the way? It's too silent here. Something seems off." she mumbled worriedly as squints her eyes and scan the living room from afar.
"What's the problem Jen? Don't you prefer having a peaceful house even for a moment?" Irene chuckled at her.
"No, Unnie. Silence from those two means they're up to something mischievous."
"It's either they're hatching some evil plans or they're already doing it." Jennie answered in exasperated tone pertaining to Jamie and Rosie. And true enough, just a moment later, you'll see little Seulie approached them sobbing.
"Hey baby what's wrong. What happened? Why are you crying?" Irene cooed worriedly at her son but little boy just pouts as he let out soft whimpers.
"Where's Momma?" Irene asked the little boy as she carefully scans her son. She knew her son well.
She knows when he's really crying or faking it.
Even at the age of two, Little Seulie already learned and mastered how he could manipulate her Mom just so he could get what he wants.
It always work perfectly on her mommy Seul whenever he asks for another bottle of milk or cookies but not with Irene.
"Momma's with Rin Rin" he stuttered pointing at the living room.
"Then why are you crying?" Irene pressed the question suspiciously and the little boy just grins, flashing his cute dimples on her, hoping that his charm would work on her this time.
Meanwhile behind the island counter, pairs of little hands are already reaching up towards the counter top as they sneakily take the cupcakes one by one. You'll hear cute giggles and some barking and purring from their cats and dogs.
Jennie sighed and rolled her eyes, having already anticipated Seulie's crying as a diversion. She gently nudged her cousin and pointed the sneaky little devils.
Irene then turned to his son who's now looking like he's caught red-handed.
"Bae Eun Seul, you're in this too?" she asked looking suspicious and before she could even ask again, little Seulie suddenly cupped her Mom's face and smothered her with kisses and finally ran away, leaving the still stunned Irene.
"Well your son really knows how to shut you up Unnie."
"He must have learned that from Seulgi-yah." Jennie chuckled as she discreetly watched the two cupcake ninjas behind the island counter.
There she saw, little Rosie and Jamie both crouched down on the floor, with four cupcakes in their hands while all of their pets stood besides them, waiting eagerly for their treats.
"Ssssshhh, don't make any noise Rosie, or else we'll get caught." they heard Jamie's sweet little voice whispered cautiously at the the little girl who's busy shoving away her cupcakes from her hungry and sneaky brothers.
"Louis, Lego, stop pestering us okay? I'll give you your part later I promise." Rosie whispered at her cats who's eyes were still fixed at the cupcake she's holding while Luca and Leo just sat besides her, chillin like a total boss..
"Let's go now, so we can give this to Seulie and Aerin." Jamie gestured at her and the two sneakily run towards the living room with cupcakes in their hands while all their pets followed them like a pack.
"I swear Jen-Jen, those two really reminds me of Jisoo and Lisa."
"It must be exhausting for you and Chaeng, dealing not just one but two pairs of crackheads."" Irene said half laughing as she gently pats her cousin's shoulder.
"Yeah Unnie. Sometimes I do admire the amount of patience that I have now." she chuckled shaking her head as she watches Jamie and Rosie from afar. The two finally settled in the living room and sat at the the carpeted floor besides the huge couch where Rosie's parents were sleeping. Jisoo was lying on the other couch playing with her phone while Seulgi sat on the end, watching the kids with an amused smile.
"Munchies." Seulie shrieked delighted the moment her two Noona's hand him his strawberry cupcake.
"Noona, Rin Rin?" He uttered with his cute small lips pointing at his twin sister who at the moment was settled comfortably in her Mom's lap.
"Ofcourse we didn't forget your Rin Rin" Rosie chuckled as she pats the little boy's dark and shiny hair and playfully squeeze his chubby cheeks while Jamie watches them from the side. Her heart-shaped lips unconsciously pouted the moment she saw Rosie being too overly fond at her cousin.
She then gave him the other cupcake, diverting their attention and clear enough, the moment she handed him Aerin's food, little Seul instantly left them and went towards her twin with her cupcakes in his tiny hands.
Jamie smiled the moment Rosie turned to her and intuitively held her hand.
"Rin Rin munchies." Little Seul squealed excitedly at her twin which the latter accepted looking all delighted.
"Yabyu." the little girl responded as she starts to munch her food earning her twin a contended smile.
"Here Rosie, let's share mine." Jamie offered the moment Rosie divided her cupcake into five parts and fairly distributed it to his pets leaving her with almost nothing.
"No, Jamie. That's your part and besides you still have to share it with your Oppas too." she said pertaining to Dalgom and Kuma who's both looking up at her with expectant eyes.
"Well I only have two brothers while you have four so I'll let you share mine." Jamie offered adamantly while she splits it into two equal parts, giving the other half to Rosie which earned her a kiss in her cheeks from her as her thanks.
She then took a small bite from her part and finally let Dalgom and Kuma lick the cupcake's frosting. It was a moment later when playful smile suddenly crept on Jamie's heart-shaped lips.
"Hep, hold it right there Oppas. Stop licking now. We still have to leave something for Eomma." Jamie uttered as se grins mischievously and instantly took out the remaining cupcake and went towards Jisoo who at the moment was lying on the other couch, busy playing with her phone.
"Eomma, I have something for you." Jamie uttered sweetly but her heart-shaped lips curled up with a sneaky smile as she shove the remaining cupcake on her Mom's expectant mouth while Seul almost threw up, having witnessed everything.
"Who made this Sweetie? It's Delicious." Jisoo uttered smiling while munching her food. She then turned her gaze at her daughter and gave her a kiss in her lips which the latter desperately dodged.
"Mom and Aunt Irene made it." Jamie answered still flashing that sneaky smile while Seulgi can't help but laugh hard from where she sits.
"Yeah it has a secret recipe in it that's why it tastes really good Chu."
"Right Jamie?" Seulgi butted in with a knowing smile which the little girl responded with a proud smirk. Seulgi shook her head laughing, imagining the mess that these two could do once they grow up.
"Yes Aunt Seul." she answered sweetly and you'll hear Rosie's cute giggles while high-fiving Jamie.
Seulgi then called Rosie and gestured her to come closer to her.
"Hey Sweetie why don't you wake your Mommies up now. The've been asleep for hours now."
"Ask them both why they're all exhausted." Seulgi uttered suppressing a sneaky smile as she talks to little Rosie who's round and expressive eyes where fixed on her. Her gaze then shifted between her and her Mommies.
"I guess they prayed that long last night." she answered innocently. She then released that soft cute giggles the moment she saw little Aerin extends her tiny hands up on her Mom's mouth and started feeding her Mommy Seul with her cupcake crumbs.
"They what?" Suelgi asked sounding a little confused.
"I couldn't sleep last night so I went to their room. It wasn't locked so I went in and walked past Mom's living room but the main bedroom door was locked.
"But I heard weird noises. "
"I even heard Mom called God a lot of times so I guess they're both praying so I went back to my room instead." Rosie narrated innocently which caused Seulgi to spit and cough from the cupcake crumbs that her little daughter was feeding her, causing the two little girls to laugh and giggle at her.
"Well, why don't you wake your Moms up and tell them about it." Seulgi banters and little Rosie nods and smiled.
"Sweetie, just don't tell anyone about your Mom's prayer session okay? It should be kept a secret." Seulgi winked at her and Rosie countered right off and shook her head.
"But I don't keep any secrets from Jamie." the little girl uttered like she's spillin facts.
"I told her about it this morning and she said their Moms usually do the same too. She sometimes hear them praying like that whenever Jamie sneaks into their room at night." she uttered casually which caused Seulgi to cough again, earning her a fit of giggles from her cute daughter.
"Aunt Seul, are you sick? You kept on coughing. Do you want Mommy to check on you? I'll wake her up." Rosie offered while her expressive innocent eyes cast her a worried look.
"I'm fine baby. Thank you for your concern." Seulgi uttered smiling while suppressing a hard laugh.
"But you can wake both your Mommies up now." She suggested which the little girl obliged.
Seulgi shook her head smiling as she watches little Rosie crawled up to the huge couch and and lightly tapped their arms as she tries to wake them up. You'll see Chaeyoung's face nuzzled in her wife's neck while Lisa has her both arms wrapped around her as they sleep.
Little Rosie finally gave up in waking them up and so she slid in between them, joining her mommies.
Lisa pulled her closer between them and lazily kissed her Little Rosie with her eyes still shut and finally returns to sleep making her daughter let out a fit of cute giggles.
Her plump delicate lips finally flashed a contented smile as she enjoys the warmth of he parents's hugs.
Meanwhile on the opposite couch you'll see Jamie who was comfortably confined in Jisoo's arms as the two took turns in playing with her phone while the other one is watching. She would often let Jamie win the game just so she could hear the little kid's hearty laughter.
And it's one of her most favorite thing in the world.
Making her girls happy.
"What are you guys doing?" They heard Jennie asked with a raised eyebrow while her cat eyes shifted on them and her phone.
"Relax Honey, it's just scrabbles game. It's educational. You'll be impressed at how extensive our daughter's vocabulary skills is at her age." Jisoo said proudly at her which softened her demeanor. She then flashed her gummy smile and finally joined them in the couch and lie besides Jisoo.
Well her English teacher is the best that's why." Jennie responded smirking as she snuggles closer to her and gave Jisoo a soft kiss in her cheeks.
She then looked at Jamie who's same cat eyes were fixed on both of them and seconds later, you'll also see her do the same, making Jennie chuckle a bit, knowing how territorial and clingy Jamie is when it comes to the people that she loves.
Their kids might have an incredible knack for mischiefs and misfits but they're definitely the sweetest and most adorable kid in the world.
