THE POLICE SUCKED ASS. they never helped out for any crimes, gave the league the files they needed... harlow violet hated them. they never treated harlow right either, always laughed when she thought of a solution. it also sucked when harlow never got any credit for missions, it was always barry. the chief of police never even mentioned harlow in his thank you speeches. ever since that, harlow never looked to the police, fuck them.

but here they go, right to the police station, where they won't help anyone. "she must be scared out of her mind." dick said breaking the silence. he put the car in park, harlow bit her nails as kory tried getting out. she started to climb out, "woah. woah woah. you're not coming."

kory sat back down, "why?"

"well you aren't the definition of 'blending in.'" harlow replied with a scoff. ellie looked back and forth at the two, of course, the two most powerful people in this fucking car hates each other. the woman watched harlow smirk, hearing kory go silent.

"well i've blended in just fine." kory argued, which made harlow shake her head with a small laugh. she remembered how she acted like this on the mission that no one knows about. how she would laugh as she killed the men, how she laughed as she watched someone get brutally murdered. harlow wanted the memories out of her head, the person that was with her really fucked harlow up.

"i've got the badge, i can find out." dick argued back, holding his badge up. he was on harlow's side, even if she hated him. he didn't trust kory... why would he?  "if anyone seen rachel faster without you. not to mention, you're wanted by the police."

"this is a police station." harlow added, pointing at the sign with disgust. ellie nodded to kory, basically saying 'she's right.' kory sighed, leaning back in her seat.

"hurry up." kory said in a sassy tone.  the two ex lovers got out of the car, harlow touching her cut on her forehead with pain. dick waited for her, making harlow look at the ground. why was he being nice? i should've never hugged him. harlow regretted hugging him, he probably got hope that she still cared. maybe she did? a million things were running through her mind, and she couldn't find a solution.

"are you okay?" dick asked as they walked towards the font door. harlow didn't say a word, only running a hand through her hair. "i get it, you hate me. i just want to know if you're okay?" dick watched as harlow opened the door, he really fucked up didn't he?

. "act like we are worried parents, it usually works." harlow said, ignoring dick. she hated her idea, but might as well. they can't act suspicious or the cops will catch on. harlow's done this multiple times in her life with frankie and roy. but never with dick. they never faked their love, but everything has a first.

"you've done this before?"

"no..." harlow trailed off with a smile towards the policeman. it was more of a worried smile, she had to get into character. hopefully it wasn't to much. harlow watched as dick asked about rachel, the policeman kept eying harlow making her uncomfortable. dick glanced over with a glare towards the policeman, but didn't say anything.
