My boyfriend, Kellin, and I were just hanging out like usual in his room. It was night time and we had nothing better to do than to just hang out and make out. Seeing him the way he was hurt me, he looked so worn out. So tired and done. I can't blame him though, even his eyes are losing the spark. Just like he's losing his life. He has cancer.

The doctors gave him 14 months to live. That was 15 months ago. We were all scared that we'd lose him someday but we stayed optimistic. We were losing hope by the day and it was getting harder for Kellin to hold on.

"Babe, am I going to die?" Kellin asked. That's the one question that I hate and that he seems to ask a lot.

"I don't know babe, I don't know. I hope not." I said as I looked down at the promise ring I had given him. It was a promise that if he was to die, he'd wait for me in the afterlife and that I'd stay committed to him no matter what. He just looked at me and kissed me on the lips. So much emotion was held into it. We decided to go to sleep, so we turned off the lights and climbed into bed. I held Kellin close to me and kissed him again sweetly, still so much passion and emotion into it. It felt like it'd be the last kiss ever.

"Sing me to sleep, please?" he asked. I nodded and began singing our song.

I finished the song and fell asleep. I woke up the next day, the room had an eerie and sad vibe to it and I knew why.

Everybody else was awake except for someone; Kellin.
