T H I R T Y - F O U R

Start from the beginning

"Ab Mumma, Papa and Roohi teeno best friends hai aur humesha saath rahenge, haina Mumma Papa?" (We three would would be together forever, right Mumma Papa?)

Roohi innocent question left them tongue tied, her question had lots of uncertainties and hopes together, ambiguity for having a lifelong relationship or fulfilling the dream of happily ever after with Roohi. The human mind is very much complex, so much complex that even a person cannot understand its own expectations from it. Years back when they tied in knot of marriage they promised not to keep expectations for each other but with time they started to expect everything which a partner may expect; love, care, trust and devotion. Till years they kept them away from the heart fluttering feeling of being loved but now they secretly wishes to feel such love from each other; a love which can race your heartbeat, the love which can take you in other world, the love which can make one breaths hitch with the mere presence of your lover, the crazy love every human wishes to feel someday.

Baawri si dhakane hai, baawri hai saansein.
(Crazy are the heartbeats, crazy are the breaths.)

"Haan Roohi Mumma aur Papa ek team hai. Haina Mumma?" (Yes dear.  Mumma, Papa and Roohi is one team.) Raman asked making Ishita nodded her head in positive and they walked towards parking area carrying shopping bags. As Raman unlocked the car, Ishita dumped the bags at backseat and buckled Roohi with belt and she herself was about to sit at passenger seat when Raman stopped her, "Ishita you guys sit. I will be back in few minutes."

"But where are you going?" Ishita stopped Raman holding him by his arm.

"Actually this mall is advertising PSR products and the advertising manager is here to brief me about something. It will take few minutes only." He didn't gave chance Ishita to speak and ran back in mall leaving curious Ishita behind.

Two Hours later

After reaching back, Raman and Ishita got settled in the living room to complete their works from workspace after making tired Roohi sleep in their room. Ishita who was busy in writing something narrowed her brows finding Raman checking his wrist watch in every five minutes. She shrugged her shoulder first with whatever in her mind but later his behaviour started to bother her making impossible for her to stay mum.

"Why are you checking your watch again and again? Is someone going to arrive?"

"No!!! Nope." Raman managed to reply without stuttering and started to look everywhere, "Actually yes a call is going to come. I'm waiting for that." He hoped Ishita would not ask more questions and same happened. She moved inside her room to attend a call and at the same time he received a call to open the main door. He cleverly asked him to enter inside and escorted him till Roohi's room. Otherside, as Ishita came out from her room after finishing her call with Mihika she frowned seeing Raman missing from living room. She rested her hands on her hips wondering where he disappeared all of sudden.

"Raman! What was you doing in Roohi's room? And who is he?" She asked curiously seeing him coming out from Roohi's room along a man.

"Nothing. I have something for her. Can you please wake her up?" Raman pleaded with shining eyes leaving his wife amused and she walked back inside their bedroom to wake up sleeping Roohi. Few minutes later Ishita came out taking yawning Roohi in her arms and questioned her husband through her eyes what he is hiding from them.
Raman kissed Roohi's cheeks excitedly and put a blindfold on her eyes leaving the mother and daughter baffled.
