NEXT MORNING
"Puttar! How will you go to university?"
"I will take taxi or auto Papa. The mechanic will drop car in the afternoon. Will you check it?"
"Yes sure! But don't take a taxi no, I will drop you."
"That fine Papa. Some construction work is going on there you might get stuck unnecessarily." Raman who was witnessing their exchanged from a little distance couldn't stop himself from smiling at them. The bond they share was precious and as well as enough to make the one envy. No wonder his parents adore their daughter in law alot, he has never seen them arguing or complaining about each other even. They're not in the good terms as a couple but they're better together as a family atleast but why didn't she approached him?
She never asks anything from you Raman.
His subconscious mocked him and he sighed looking at ishita who was conversing with his parents like he never exist there.p
"Papa!! Aap pareshan mat ho. Mujhe aaj ussi side kuch kaam hai main drop kar doonga Ishita ko."
His one line was enough to assure the old couple. Raman took her bag from her hand and the couple bid bye to their parents, the ride was silent for them. Raman was thinking ways to talk with his wife bit now even that became a tough task for him.
"You bothered unnecessarily Raman. I would have managed."
"I have genuinely some work at your University. Do you know Dr. Rakhi Sharma, the dean of human rights department?"
"Yes. I do. What about her?"
"Well she also holds some position in one NGO and they approached us to organise a csr event for our company. So I was just planning to meet her."
"Oh!!" She sighed and resumed looking out through the window, the text from the last side wasn't leaving her mind and she was in a deep fix to ask about the same or not. He never address her questions with patience forget about replying about those. She didn't know if he will reply her today or label her as insecure for the another time.
"Ishita!! How's everything going at your workplace?"
"Usual." She replied timidly playing with her nails.
"Hmm and your health? Are you taking your vitals? I know everyone is there for Roohi but your health matters as well." She chuckled inwardly thinking how her husband considered asking about her health after eighteen month of her delivery, nevertheless she stopped bothering about his actions. He started to puzzle her otherside Raman expected something from her side, maybe something to keep the conversation continue but nothing came up except silence. He looked at his wife with dejection and continued to drive along. Soon they were in the Law department of the University, the same department where his brother studies too. They had decided to meet Dr. Rakhi and then he will drop Ishita back to her own department.
"Romi has internship today otherwise he would come up with us." Ishita mumbled looking all around.
"Please ask him to focus on his studies and the training Ishita. I have great plans for him, please ask him not to ruin those." Raman murmured following his wife.
"I'm still unable to understand why you're exactly pissed with Romi." Ishita countered back but before he could answer they reached outside of Dr. Rakhi office. The meeting was crisp short where Raman just had to finalise date and time for the events and rest would be taken care of by the NGO team. Although the work has to be handled by his HR team but Raman was looking ways to spend time with Ishita and when he got one such chance he couldn't stop himself from involving himself into it.
