Chapter 9. Boys. Boys. Boys.

The next morning I wake up lying on my stomach and I reach my arm over and nobodies there. Baffled, I look up and I see Jack is nowhere to be found. I sit up and get up and walk over to my make up bag and I take out my contact case. I put my contacts in and walk over to the bathroom, and I take a shower.
“We-eee are never ever-ever getting back together! You go talk to your friends, talk to my friends, talk to me, but we-eee are never ever ever getting back together!” I yell singing Taylor Swift’s new hit, blasting from my Ipod speakers. I finish my shower, get out and wrap a towel around my body and I walk out.
“SHIT!” I yell “What the hell are you doing here?!” I ask/yell as Jack is sitting on the bed watching ESPN
“Uh what do you mean?” Jack asks and I look at him
“I thought you left?” I ask confused
He looks at me like I have 3 heads “Uh, I was just getting some breakfast downstairs” He says and I look at him and I see his eyes rake over my towel covered body.
“Hey! Eyes up here bud!” I say and he blushes
“How cute you’re blushing” I say laughing a little.
“Oh shut up, you blush all the time!”
“Nice comeback” I say smiling and I grab a pair of skinny jeans and a red and blue plaid shirt along with mismatched socks and a white tank top. I change and walk back out, over to my bags.
“Your socks don’t match” Jack whispers in my ear and I jump
“How the hell do you do that!?”
He laughs and shrugs “A magician never reveals his secrets”
“Loser” I mumble and I hear him laugh a little as he walks over to the bed wearing dark grey sweatpants and a white V-neck with white socks.
“You have boring white socks on, at least mine are pretty” I say smiling and I walk back into the bathroom to do my hair.
“Jack! What do you have planned for today?” I ask from the bathroom
“Uh well I sorta planned on hanging out with you this weekend” He says and I smile
“And what if I had plans with someone else?” I ask and he jumps off the bed and walks over to the bathroom
“Do you have other plans?” he asks skeptically. I laugh a little and shake my head.
‘You little teaser!” He yells and walks into the bathroom and wraps his arms around my waist from behind resting his chin on my shoulder.
“So what do you want to do today?”
I think for a while “Uh, I don’t know, what’s around here?”
“We can go shopping, go bowling, mini golfing, swimming, or we could stay here and…”
“Jack Morris! Get your head out of the gutter!” I say and he laughs and shrugs
“It was a good try” he whispers and kisses my cheek
“Bye Jack” I say and I push him out and close the bathroom door.
I finish and walk out
“God! Any longer and I might die of starvation!” Jack yells and I look over at him sprawled out on the bed like a 4 year old.
“You just ate like an hour ago” I say and he looks at me
“Your point?” I laugh and shake my head
‘Whatever, let’s go mini golfing and then we can hit the boardwalk and play some games and ride some rides?” I ask and his eyes light up and he nods and gets up and throws a pair of khaki shorts and a black V-neck on.
“Alright let’s go!” He says and drags me out of the hotel.
We get to the boardwalk 10 minutes later and I can see the excitement in his eyes. We park and walk over to the boardwalk. “So the mini golf place is over there by the go karts and then there’s the games and such” I say and he pulls me over to the Ferris wheel
“seriously? The Ferris wheel? “ I ask
“Of course, it’s the most romantic ride” he says wagging his eyebrows and I smile and roll my eyes
“If you say so” I say and we get on and he sits next to me
“Uh Jack?” I ask “Not saying I don’t like it but why are you being so lovey today?” I ask just as we stop at the top of the ride. He pauses and turns and looks at me
“Jess I have something to tell you” Jack says
“Oh God, what? Did someone else find out about us? Did you find a better girl? I understand if you wanna break up with me. I mean come on what was I thinking? You’re like this handsome, muscular, incredibly smart guy who can do way better than his student. I mean I’m just this average girl, there’s nothing special abou-…..”
I get cut off by jack crashing his lips down on mine
“Just shutup” he mumbles and kisses me gently yet passionately. The way his lips move with mine, it’s not rushed but very loving and patient. We both pull away and our foreheads rest on each other’s. And I smile
“You were saying?” I ask and Jack laughs
“I was about to say, before someone interrupted me, that…”
