Chapter 24 Pregant? No. In Love? Yes.
Picture to the right is what Jess wears to Jack's apartment to meet his parents. Other outfits worn in this chapter are explained, but I don't have any pictures of them sorrry! IMAGINATION is always a KEY part in reading stories <3 (;
Jack P.O.V.
“So dinners in the oven, the house is clean, what else is there left to do?”
“Uh, nothing really. We just have to wait.”
I nod and walk over and wrap my arms around her waist.
“What if this doesn’t go well?” I ask
“Jack, it’s not going to be easy for them, but I promise they will come around sooner or later. Hell, we don’t even know how they will react. I mean I think my mom will be upset at first, but she’ll get over it. And my dad, well he’s been stressed at work and such. But I think he’ll probably yell and such, but when he sees how much you truly mean to me, he’ll get over it”
I smile and kiss her head “I hope so” I mumble. She turns around in my arms and smiles.
“I know so. Now I can’t wear sweatpants and a t-shirt, so do you want to help pick out my outfit?”
“Hmm, I would love too” I say and she smiles and nods. I watch her walk over and sit on her bed, playing with her cell phone.
“Teenager girls and their cell phones” I mutter and she laughs a little
“Very funny!”
I smile and walk over to her closet “Well since I look extra nice tonight, you should be all fancy too”
“Whatever you say” I hear her call out. I smile and 15 minutes later I walk out.
“ready?”
“Ready” I say smiling. I hand her a white lace dress, a thing brown belt, a light brown cardigan and stockings with a pair of flats.
“Wow, you picked this out all by yourself?”
I smile and nod.
“I am honestly, very impressed”
“Yeah well I guess it’s just a hidden talent”
She laughs a little and smiles. ‘Maybe it is”
She changes and we walk downstairs.
“What smells so good?”
“Hey Dad” Jess says smiling. Her mom and dad walk into the kitchen.
“Hello Mr. and Mrs. Hogan. How are you guys?”
“Very good, thank-you Jack.”
I smile and nod “Oh these are you for, mam” I say and I hand her the bouquet of flowers. She smiles and hugs me.
“Thank-You, that was very sweet of you.”
Dinner goes great. Everyone getting along; well as much as we can I guess. God, my hands are sweating. I don’t think I have ever been this nervous. And for what? To get the approval of my girlfriend’s parents? Do you think it’ll be worth it? What if her dad tells her to break up with me? Man, my life would be over.
“Mom, Dad.” Jess says “Jack and I have something to tell you guys.”
“Jess, please don’t tell me you’re pregnant” My dad says with his head in his hands. I hear her laugh a little, nervously.
