Chapter 14 True Love
Jess P.O.V.
“Do you like your ice cream, Gabe?” I ask, laughing a little as he nods. Gabe has chocolate ice cream all over his face. He smiles.
“Tank-You Jessie!”
I smile and take a picture of him, sending it to both of my parents. He finishes his ice cream, i wipe his face, and the two of us drive home.
“How’s your arm, bud?”
“It hurts a wittle” He says as we pull up into the driveway. We walk up onto the porch and I see Jack sitting on the wicker couch. I jump a little and smile.
“What are you doing here?” I ask smiling. Jack gets up and walks over. I smile kissing him quickly. He kneels down handing Jack a Get Well balloon and a present.
“Hey Gabe. I heard you had a pretty bad fall. I hope these make you feel a little better” Jack says and I smile down at the two of them.
Man I don’t think my heart can take anymore cuteness. One day it’s just going to melt into a big puddle of mush.
Gabe opens the presents, which are Toy Story 1, 2, & 3 as well as a new baseball cap and he smiles.
“Gabe, what do you say to Jack?” I ask
“Tank-You!” He says and he wraps his good arm around Jack’s neck. I smile, taken aback a little by his show of emotion towards Jack.
“You’re welcome, bud. Maybe one day, your sister and you can come to one of my baseball games?” He asks and Gabe nods and runs into the house to watch Toy Story.
“How did you know he loved Toy Story?”
“Just had a hunch” Jack says and shrugs his shoulders
I smile, kissing his cheek gently. “You truly are amazing, you know that?”
He blushes a little and smiles “I try my best.”
“I never knew you played baseball?”
“Yeah I played in college and now I play with a friend of mine’s law firm.” I smile and wrap my arms around his neck.
“Baseball players are sexy” I whisper, pulling his lips down to mine. He smiles and chuckles a bit, kissing me back.

The past few weeks have been great. Gabe’s arm is now healed and Jack just gets better and better every time I see him. He still manages to surprise me every day. Whether it is him scoring the game winning run at baseball or just showing up to my front door with a bouquet of flowers, he is amazing.
It is now Columbus Day weekend, meaning we have Monday and Tuesday off. It is Friday during last period, Jack’s class to be more precise. The final bell rings and I take my time packing up. Jack walks over and leans against his desk, crossing his arms over his chest. I look up at him and I smile. Jack is gazing out the window, thinking about something, something hard.
“Jack? Are you alright?” I ask a little worried.
He blinks a few times and turns his attention to me, and nods. “Yeah, just thinking about something.”
“Care to share?” I ask now sitting on top of my desk, a few rows back in the classroom.
“Well, I talked to my mom this morning and she, she uh invited us to come stay for the weekend.” He says blushing a little.
