Chapter 39

Jack POV

“Have a good day and behave please!”

“Hey I am a very well behaved student, thank-you very much”

I chuckle a bit and look at her

“If you say so” I say, smiling a bit as the warning bell rings

‘Whatever. See you later” She says

“No goodbye kiss?”

“No, you think I’m a troublemaker”

“Jess, come on. I don’t think you’re a bad student. I just think you can get a bit distracting in class, that’s all”

“Fine, I’ll try not to distract you in class, Mr. Morris” She says and turns to walk inside.

“We’ll see about that, Ms. Hogan!” I yell and she keeps walking.

The morning flies by and before I know if, it’s time for English with the love of my life.

“Good Afternoon class how was your weekend?”

“Stupid” “Boring” “I worked” “Short” Some kids say and I laugh a little.

“How was your weekend, Mr. Morris?” Someone asks me. I look around and notice it’s Rachel. Now Rachel is not the most conserved girl; meaning her bra is always sticking out or I see her with her tongue down some guys throat every day.

“Oh uh, my weekend was good, thanks” I say and my eyes flash to Jess’s but she is looking out the window. “So where did we leave off on Friday?”

“We didn’t do anything on Friday, we had prom so you let us watch a movie.”

“Oh, my bad. Where did we leave off on Thursday?”

“You said we were going to go over our quiz”

“That’s right. Alright chat amongst yourselves while I pass them all back.”

I begin passing back everyone’s quizzes.

“Most of you did very well on this quiz. However there were a select few of you who clearly did not read” I say as I finish passing them out. “Alright, will someone read number one for me, please…..? Anyone?” I ask as nobody raises their hands. “Fine then.” I say

We go over the quiz for a bit and I notice Jess dozing off a bit. “Jess, what did you get for number 12?”

“Huh? What?” She asks, snapping back into reality.

I smile a bit “What did you get for number 12?”

“Uh, I put the theme of the novel is love never dies?”

I nod my head “I see where you infer that, however the overall theme would be that love over powers everything” I say and I look over at her, but she is looking out the window again. “Did you hear me, Miss. Hogan?” I ask and she nods

“I heard you” She says. I shake my head and move on.

“Anyways…” I begin to say as the bell rings “You guys got lucky today, no homework. Have a good afternoon” I say as they all file out of the room

Jess POV

I walk into school with Liv by my side

“What an amazing weekend, huh?” Liv asks as we walk over to my locker.

I laugh a bit and look at her “Well you wouldn’t know, you two never came out of the bedroom!”

“Shh! That’s not true” She says with a huge blush on her face.
