RECAP: “Yeah well, not everyone goes home with their teacher either!” He says now leaning against his desk. “Just get out” Were his last words before I get up and walk out of the classroom, slamming the door behind me.

Chapter 3. Cream or Sugar?

I storm off into the hallway, completely humiliated, pissed and heartbroken all rolled into one. I get to the outside door, realizing I forgot my jacket in my locker and swing the door open, revealing an empty parking, well an empty lot except for one black Camaro that is. I take out my phone and open the 4 texts from Liv and Mark. “Hey girly, sorry mark has football practice so we had to run. Ask Mr. Sexy for a ride (;” It reads and I roll my eyes.

“UGHH!” I yell, pulling out my IPod Touch, putting my headphones on and blasting my music.

The 15 minute walk back to my house makes a turn for the worse when it begins to rain. And by rain, I mean it is raining cats, dogs and freaking rabbits for God’s sake. I pick up the pace and start speed walking, when a familiar Camaro pulls up next to me.

“What the hell are you doing?! It’s raining out here!” He yells and

I look at him. “Is it really? Wow I didn’t notice, thanks for the heads up” I snap back and keep walking.

Jack parks his car and runs over to me.

“Jess, stop!” he yells over the roar of the rain. I turn and look at him.

“Why? So you can rip my heart out even more? You might as well just spit in my face, because that’s basically what you just did” I snap and I push him away and start walking.

“Stop!” he yells and grabs my wrist, spinning me around, my chest hitting his.

I look up at him. “Save it, Jack. I really don’t want to hear your excuses. I know I screwed up, but to be fair, I never asked for your age either. This little arrangement is just as much your fault as it is mine.” I say and he looks down at me, the anger fills his eyes once again.

“Plea-Please, let go of m-me, you’re hurting my w-wrist!” I say tears now running down my cheeks. He lets go and I pull my wrist to my chest, holding it tight.

“Jess, I’m sorry” he says “Please, just let me drive you home. It’s cold and raining, I don’t want you to get sick” he says and I look up into his, crystal blue eyes, the anger quickly replaced with remorse. I nod slightly and he leads me to the passenger side of his car. I get in and he drives me home.

We pull up outside my house. “Shit!” I yell “Ahh fuck, I’m late!” I say panicking. Jack looks at me like I have 3 heads and I laugh a little.

“I was supposed to come straight home, so my parents could go out to dinner. I had to babysit my little brother.” I say clearing up the confusion. Mr. Morris laughs a little.

“It’s not funny” I say, trying not to laugh as well.

I turn and look at him, and he places his hand on my cheek.

“Jess. I don’t know how you are doing this to me, but when I’m around you, you make me feel whole.” He says and I look at him.

“Jack.” I say quietly. “You know I like being around you but your my teacher, I’m your student. You said it yourself, it’s wrong.” I say back looking up into his eyes.

“I don’t care.” Is all he manages to say before he leans down and kisses me gently. “I’m falling for you Jess, we might have met 4 days ago, but I’m falling hard for you” He admits and I smile.

“Uh do you wanna come inside for coffee or something?” I ask and he nods. We walk inside.

“Mom? Dad?! I’m home!” I yell and my mom walks into the living room, wiping her hands on a dish towel.

“Hi sweetie how was your d-…Jess? Who’s this?” She asks

“Oh uh this is Mr.-I mean Jack, Jack this is my mom.” I say “So where’s dad?” I ask changing the topic.

“Oh you know your father; he’s going to meet me at the restaurant. He has to take one last minute call at work.” She says

“Oh okay, well you two love birds have fun.” I say and I hug her. Jack and I walk into the play room.

“Hey Gabe!” I say and I squat down and he runs over and hugs me tight.

“Jessie!” He says smiling as I hug him,

“Hey baby boy, how was school?” I ask.

“I drew you a picture!” He says and runs to get it. He shows me and I smile.

“Wow, it’s awesome!”

“Jess, who’s that?” He asks hiding behind my legs.

“That’s Jack. Jack this is my brother, Gabe.”

“Guys I’m leaving!” My mom yells from the living room.

“Bye Mom!” We both yell and she leaves.

“So how about that coffee?” I ask

“Uh sure thanks” Jack says and the two of us walk into the kitchen. Jack is behind me and I walk over to the coffee maker.

“Cream or sugar?” I ask and he comes up from behind me and puts his hands on my hips.

“No, just you.” He whispers and I shiver from his breathe on my neck.

He chuckles; I turn around and back up so I’m leaning on the counter, trapped between him and the granite service.

“Your move.” I say and He leans down and kisses me gently, my forehead on his. “Thank-you” He says and I look up at him.

“For what?” I ask

“For giving me a second chance, for letting me tell you how I truly feel, for accepting me for me.” He admits and I smile hugging him tight. I lean in and whisper

“Your welcome” and

I push him away playfully and he groans. I laugh

“Gabe! Dinners ready!” I yell and the three of us sit down to eat.

It’s about 10:00pm and Gabe is finally asleep upstairs in his own bed. I come downstairs and I throw a blanket at Jack..

“Here you look a little cold.” I say and he laughs. I sit down next to him, pulling most of the blanket over me, my head resting on his shoulder. Minutes later we hear my parents pull into the driveway….
