Jess POV
“Liv! Where are my shoes?!” I ask as the two of us are finishing up getting ready for prom.
“I don’t know, I haven’t touched them”
“Ugh!” I mutter and I start running around in my black Soffee shorts and a white V-neck. I run downstairs and everyone looks at me like I’m crazy. Jack’s eyes meet mine and I blush a little. He smiles and gets up. I walk over to the coat closet
“Looking for something?” He asks, as he places both hands on my hips from behind me
“Yeah, my silver heels” I say as I keep looking
“Do you need help?” He whispers in my ear. I shiver a little and I look back at him
“No thanks.” I say and I turn around and lean against the wall. “Besides, you would hardly be of any help. More of a distraction” I say as I look up into his eyes
Jack smiles slightly and nods “Fair enough. But I know where your shoes are” He says and he turns and starts to walk away
“Wait! You know where they are?” I ask
“Yes, but you don’t want my help”
“Please? Will is going to be here in less than an hour”
“What do I get if I help you?” Jack asks with a smirk on his face
“You get to see the happy look on your girlfriends face” I say smiling sheepishly.
Jack walks over to me and looks down into my eyes. “I guess that’s enough for me” He whispers and captures my lips in his. I smile and kiss him back
“So where are my shoes?” I mutter against his lips. He chuckles a bit and takes my hand in his, leading me upstairs.
“They are right here” Jack says as he walks over to my closet and pulls out a shopping bag
“How did you? I looked there!” I say and he smiles and shrugs his shoulders.
“I’m magic”
“Bullshit” I mutter and he chuckles and walks over to me.
“Awe, don’t be jealous babe. Not everyone can be perfect.” He says and I look up at him and roll my eyes
“Now it’s time for you to get out” I say and I push at his chest
“Don’t be mean”
“I’m not being mean. You’re being you”
“Good comeback” Jack says and I laugh a little
“Shut up and get out”
“Excuse me?”
“I mean, I love you” I say, biting my lower lip
“Yeah that’s what I thought you said.” He whispers and kisses the corner of my lips.
“Jack, I have to get ready”
“Okay, okay, get ready and I’ll be waiting” He says. I nod and close my bedroom door.
“Geez, I thought he was just going to jump you right then and there” Liv says as she walks out of my bathroom. I blush a little and shake my head
“He wouldn’t. He’s not like that”
“Jess?”
“Yeah?”
