Impressions: Was looking for abuse-the-ML/faceslapping QTs but found this instead. Waaayyyy better.

So our MC is chosen as a Host of a Slag Reconditioning System who has to collect the regret points of slag gongs. He gets partnered up with our #spoiler System ML. System ML has been formatted so he doesn't remember his old life but he remembers that he wants to quickly finish his tasks in order to meet someone. Our MC also won't be shaken and wants to returns to his original world cos he's the only one who remembers about ML now (ML died when they were young) so they partnered up. Slowly, ML gets a clue a out his past/identity but cos of the confidentiality clause he can't reveal the truth to MC. MC also uncover the Lord God's evil plot so Lord God sends him to more and more difficult missions. ML will accompany him using different identities to help MC without being found out.

Arc 1 - Genius Cannonfodder's Counterattack Record (Chapter 1-23) - MC's identity is a young musical genius who committed suicide cos of depression because of his slag gong.

Arc 2 - Getting Rid of that Bigshot (Chapter 24-43) - MC is an abused husband. Slag gong is an abusive rich sadistic BASTARD old man who likes to hurt/torture him.

Arc 3 - Love Song on Ice (Chapter 44-63) - MC is an ice skater. Slag gong is his idol/crush. ML poses as his mangaka Uncle.

Arc 4 - I Hear I'm a Battle God (Chapter 64-86) - ABO world. Everyone is born as Beta. Winners become Alpha. Losers become Omega. MC was a 'sacrifice'/bought so he could lose to his enployer so his employer will become Alpha. MC helps him become the #1 Battle God. ML is his Mech XD XD XD

Arc 5 - Causality Cycle, Bad retribution (Chapter 87-121) - World hopping. The original also has a System and had to complete missions, only its horror/survival. The MC has ghost eyes. Slag gong stole those eyes so he can survive in the horror games. Our MC makes him regret it SO BAD. ML's identity is a brother and sister (yes, 2 people so MC won't get suspicious)

Arc 6 - I Raise a Big Cat in the Last Days (Chapter 122-150) - Apocalypse world. The original was betrayed by the yandere slag gong cos he wants him all to himself. ML is his pet leopard.

Arc 7 - System vs. System (Chapter 151-181) - The original is the protagonist of a book but cos of a transmigrator with a System came, he stole his luck and he died tragically. MC restores the protagonist luck and ruins transmigrator's plans. ML is his Master.

Arc 8 - Overbearing General, Beautiful Army Commander (Chapter 182-210) - Original is a General who fell inlove with his servant. Servant is actually the Prince of enemy country and betrayed him. ML's identity is MC's teacher.

Arc 9 - Battle Royale (Chapter 211-236) - Futuristic. Humans are evolving and developing abilities. (Think BNHA) Society is afraid and made the abilities fight each other to death in a Battle Royale while being live broadcast. MC helps the original survive the Battle Royale and also make the abilities accepted by Society. ML poses as his cousin who also has an ability.

Arc 10 - Perfect New World (Chapter 237-270) - The original is MC in a parallel world. Only this "him" committed suicide, unlike our MC. This is Lord God's last attempt to tempt MC into staying in a mission world, this world gives MC is a chance to live his life again. We also fully knows MC's past now :(((( MC finishes the mission and chooses to confront the Lord God.

Extras - MC and ML visits his past Hosts/previous worlds and see how they're living their lives now~~ Also, MC & ML's life back in their original world.

From the very first arc, I already like our MC from the way he took care of the problem, you can see that he really cares for the original. He also questioned the whole setup, WHY he has to collect regret, what happens after etc. What happened to the soul of the original Host etc,. which is why I think he's clever, not just blindly obeying the whole thing. I've read Scum Shou, and although it collects Love/Affection points and not regret but the way he has to MAX the goodwill and then DIE after was kind of the same. It sorta makes you think. Hahaha...

Different from other QTs, after completing the mission, our MC leaves, he doesn't live out the life of the original until he dies etc.  Overstaying in a task world is a big no-no for both MC & ML; and ML only chooses useful identities to help MC, they never got together/no romance between them in the mission world except the last task. Another thing, our ML is a rare warm man. Not overbearing or yandere or an iceberg gong. Lol. He is a gentle big Brother to our MC~~

I like this cos it was different from the usual QT novels I've read~~ And also because the MC is very smart and kind. He not only helps the original but also others that might be harmed by the slag gong. I love the side CPs of the original Hosts in the mission worlds as they find their own gongs/shous for themselves and live their new life happily thanks to our MC. ^_^
