Synopsis:

Residing within the dense forest in Nore are the beautiful elves of Elune Forest. After the young elves began to be hunted by the humans to become slaves, the Queen of Elune decided that young elves could not leave the forest until after their adult ceremony at fifty years old. When Hai'an's ceremony finally arrived, he was excited to be able to finally travel away from his home and see everything the world had to offer. However, he got more than he bargained for.

What was supposed to be a simple ceremony turned into Hai'an transmigating to the body of... a plant?!

Stuck as a small sapling called Shaking Grass, Hai'an was bought and given as a birthday gift to a retired Starfleet Marshal named Auguste.

After retiring due to political conflict, Auguste spends his time trying to find more of his missing race, the ancient dragons. Unexpectedly receiving Hai'an, Auguste believes him to be nothing more than a rare, exotic plant. To his surprise, he finds that this little plant is intelligent and learns more and more every day.

How will this stoic, unfeeling dragon fall in love with the little transmigrated elf who lost his body?

Impressions: Resting my brain from MTL so choosing the completely translated novels~~

I like the ML-raises-MC type of novels, the ones I've read  so far, are all MC as a pet (hamster, dog, cat etc.). Didn't expect that there would be a plant MC as well XD XD XD This was pretty cute especially when MC was still a plant and he and ML communicates via shaking his plant body or MC's vines reaching for ML's fingers~~~ However, this was also a little bit too serious, there's a war going on and ML and company are being chased by their government and various villains + each one of their crew seems to have some tragic past. The villains aren't straightforward either, they also have a sad past which explains their actions but its hard to NOT hate them. #spoiler Towards the end, they also joined forces with ML to end the war.

Hmm.. I really like the raising novels as long as its the main focus, but it feels like the focus here is the war and searching for ML's home planet, and MC and ML's interactions are added as sugar to keep it from getting too serious. It's fine if it's serious but sometimes there are serious scenes, and MC and company will start cracking inappropriate jokes. It just kinda feel disjointed, or the author can't make up her mind with the pacing if it's going to be funny or serious. I have some favorite moments but that's it. The novels is nice and all, but not one of my faves. Not planning to reread it either.. or if I reread, then just the first part when ML is still raising plant MC....
