This is not his hobby, rather he has a wonderful System. the system will issue task to sprinkle sugar, feed dogfood to onlookers, achieve sweetness index with the bound Host's target. In order to survive the apocalypse, he can only obey it.

Story starts 3 years after the apocalypse. MC was trapped in the South when the apocalypse broke out and traveled all the way to North Base where his home is, during this 3 years. On the way there, their team was sabotaged and MC was bitten. Then a System suddenly binds with him and MC agrees in order to survive. Laters, he was brought to the North Base.

MC is the son of two scientists, he should've been evacuated 3 years ago, but he gave his spot to his cousin cos his cousin was crying so badly and his last phone call with his Little Aunt was his aunt asking him to take care of his cousin. ML was the one tasked to pickup MC before but because he missed picking him up, MC had to stay outside as an ordinary person this 3 years.  (MC only gained an ability cos of the System and Cousin never told them that MC was still alive outside) First chapter is an info dump, anyways, there are zombies, mutant plants and animals. There are ability users with fire, water etc, but also curse, or controlling corpse, there is also 'beastification' where they have animal characteristics. MC falls into this. System gives him the fox bloodline.

So System is a PDA System. He gives MC daily task and task failure results in punishment like weakening his strength for a period of time or having badluck for a whole day, which could be fatal during the apocalypse so MC has to do the tasks. ML is set as MC's target. First few tasks are cute, have ML touch his head or get a hug, touch his cheek etc. MC has a 'researcher' spirit, he asks ML his favorite color or favorite animal planning to dye his hair so that ML would touch his head , but ML would inadvertently fulfill the tasks without MC doing anything yet. So he sends him a good person card!!!  Lol. The more they get along, the more he likes ML and he wholeheartedly wants to do the tasks now. ML also falls for MC and they naturally get together.

Now, MC Cousin is actually rebirth. In the last life, MC was picked up by the military, he invented  a medicine to give ordinary people abilities, he was very valued by the North Base etc etc. and cousin can only watch from the sidelines. So when cousin rebirths, he plots against MC, stealing his place in the rescue and then stealing his place in the research lab but since he's not as smart as MC, none of his research is progressing. Aside from cousin, other villains(?) that disgusts me are actually MC's parents. In the past 16 years, they never paid attention to MC cos they were busy with their careers, when the apocalypse came, they thought MC was dead and poured all their parent's love into cousin. After MC expose the truth and made them choose, they still couldn't fully believe MC plus they already treated cousin as their son (even MC's room is given to him). MC is disappointed cos in his 16 years, his parents never treated him intimately. ML is also disappointed with MC parents and takes MC to his home. MC joined the military lab instead of the research lab.

Laters, MC comes up with many awesome results like formulas that can make the abilities recover faster or upgrade faster, or make ordinary people stronger, all to be used by the military. Cousin is envious of MC and Father and Mother is awkward with him. Then they find out that MC & ML is a couple, and more fighting. MC also gives up on his family at this point and didn't invite them to their wedding (Yup! They move fast)

Anyway, more tasks~~ MC is marked by a Zombie King, in order to erase the mark and to be able to tell ML about the System, MC has to upgrade the System, so he is enthusiastic to do more tasks. Office Play, Battle in the Wild, PDA with a zombie within 10 meters, PDA with 10 onlookers, PDA with 100 onlookers, PDA with 10,000 onlookers XD XD XD With each upgrade, MC also gets a fox tail with different powers, like strength, wind, light etc. MC also becomes more and more beautiful~~~ (He has fox ears!)

Laters, he upgrades the System to the level where he can tell ML. ML now has an explanation for MC's weird behaviours before XD  He also cooperates to do more tasks~~ XD XD XD Dogfood everywhere. Laters, MC's position in the Base is as important as ML. Cousin is full of envy and hate and finally tells the truth that he planned for MC to stay behind and die. MC kills him. When searching thru his things, MC Mom and Dad finds cousin's diary with all his rebirth knowledge. ML actually loses his subordinates early and then when they were attacked by Zombie King, ML sacrificed himself to save the Base, but with MC's appearance, his subordinates didn't die and ML became aware of the Zombie King earlier. Cousin also wrote about the Hidden Families (cultivators in modern society) This time, ML team up with several hidden families to fight Zombie King.

Laters, MC & ML go on honeymoon and came upon an inheritance. ML inherits a cultivation practice and MC learns alchemy. They also met a cultivator who told them about the apocalypse. It was because the Cultivator families wanted to restore the spirituality of the Earth (which became thin in modern times), but instead, the Earth became polluted/filled with evil instead. Also, now the Earth will be integrated with other worlds. MC & ML also knows this from cousin's diary so they try to upgrade their abilities/cultivation + everyone in the Base. They have to go the other world  to win 'time' for Earth. They passed up to 8 levels, and they win 8 years of 'peacetime' for Earth where other worlds can't invade them.

During their stay there, MC & ML became stronger and stronger. Too OP! and they also upgrade the System to a high level, they found our that System is actually from MC's previous life. In the previous life, after ML died from sacrificing himself, MC took up the tasks of protecting the Base (Cousin didn't know cos MC was like a hidden BOSS), he also went to the other world and pass the levels but he was alone, laters someone took a fancy on MC and tried to force MC to marry him. MC sent the System back in time to change the future, of course, ML is the Target cos he was MC's secret crush >///< . ML is distressed cos MC has to suffer all that alone, of course, the guy who took fancy to MC is already on his Hit List XD XD XD

Laters, MC & ML became more and more powerful, and they're still showing love everywhere~~ Lololol. They finally get to the 9th level, then they learn about their past life (not the previous life). MC & ML were enemies on different camps of cultivators. In the second time, MC has a secret crush on ML and after ML died, he accompanied MC like a ghost and also fell for MC. (He also has a role in sending the System back in time) And the third life, MC & ML finally get together.

There are 3 Extras, but the raws I found only has the main text, so I'm still looking~~~~

Overall, this was cute and fun. I love MC's System tasks XD Base building and upgrading their abilities. The cultivation and pill refining later was also good. I started getting bored when they went to the other world to 'pass' the levels~~ Lol. It reminds me of adventures on cultivation novels where the MC goes out to find treasures. Lololol. But the PDA never stops!!! MC & ML is still as sticky as ever!!!

Another apocalypse reco: I didn't finish this (stopped at C30) but it was pretty interesting. Golden Finger Lao Gong has signed for [Rebirth in the Last Days](?) 金手指老攻已签收[末世重生] .  MC is rebirth. Apocalypse is still zombies, but there's also  a setting where the 'night time' is slowly lengthening. Like the 'first day', 20 hours before sunrise, then 3 days of nighttime, then a week etc. So far, abilities are interesting (ex: ML's ability to 'materialize' things. Too OP!) and MC & ML both has cute personalities ^_^ All the characters they pick up are also funny (a young man with poisonous tongue, a group of thugs, an amnesiac ability user). But it has too much comedy for my taste. Comedy lovers can check this out~~
