Impressions: Reco from ZoArai8 so decided to check it out~ I'm not really one for ancient times unless I read the first few translated chapters then MTLd it cos I'm too impatient to wait for the next chapters. Anyway! This is pretty cute and fluffy.

So our MC is a ninetailed fox chasing after ML. ML is an upright scholar. When he became the champion and the Emperor wanted to wed the Princess to him, ML refused cos he already had a wife/fiancee back home. That's not to say that ML and fiancee has really strong feelings for each other. ML is just really moral which made an impression on MC. So he secretly chased after ML in this lifetime then only showed himself in his death bed. ML seems aware that MC has been with him his whole life and has been caring for him. MC promised to find him again in the next life, but when MC found him he was already married and again and again, for thousands of years, this always happen. Until MC has already lost his foxtails and he's sad cos he's going to enter reincarnation and forget about ML then, suddenly rebirth!

MC goes back when ML was just being pestered by the matchmaker. Of course, our MC quickly interrupted it. Must stop this marriage!!! When MC first sees ML he just can't stop crying so ML thought he was a fool. MC decided to keep pretending to be a fool and stuck to ML volunteering to be his bookboy. ML feels strangely familiar to MC so he accepts then began their sweet lovey dovey life. Lol. Laters, ML began to remember bit by bit and saw MC's memories of chasing him for a thousand years so he felt bad for MC and became even more doting to him. He also discovered MC's fox demon identity. And remembered this true identity which is #spoiler an immortal. ML was originally an immortal and secretly raised MC. Laters, they were found out and was punished. ML became a mortal and MC forgot about him but still chased after him (awww...) Anyways, things happen and after MC got into trouble again, ML has to rescue him and showed that he remembered his immortal identity. Some fighting and finally, happily ever after.

Extras is about the Prime Minister and his guard side CP.

I was kind of confused at first, cos Fox Demons for me are supposed to be clever, seductive(?) etc especially since they have live for thousands of years but our MC is just so innocent! Lol. Anyway, its not bad to have a silly sweet MC who never thought of robbing ML from his wife in all lifetimes (ML was distressed and gave MC permission to 'rob' him next time. Lol)

My favorite part was when they were just living as a scholar/bookboy which is too sweet and fluffy!! (All the sugar!!) cos things got more complicated once ML immortal identity came to light, and ML didn't tell MC so MC offended the Heavens AGAIN cos he wants to extend the life of mortal ML. Anyway, for me, this just shows how much MC & ML love each other, willing to offend the Heavens for the other person. (The Heavenly Emperor is too annoying! Lol. Getting in the way of our MC & ML's love like an evil stepmother XD) The wrap-up was pretty funny but MC & ML was finally allowed to be together.

If you like innocent/silly sweet/child-like/simple-minded (?) MC paired with doting ML then this is for you. Think A Fox Spirit's Guide to Sleeping with Men and The Two-Tailed Little Fox Demon and His Taoist Priest Gong but longer and more bitterweet plus ML isn't so pervy.
