Synopsis:
There are those in this world who started with good cards but eventually suffered a crushing defeat. Lin Jingzhe after losing everything went back to the past when he was eighteen and about to take the university entrance exam. In the nineties, the economy had just began to take off, business opportunities are everywhere. He is now back at the golden age. In the past, he always held some regrets, now he can save himself and those worthy to be saved.
Impressions: Someone already mentioned this, but this really is one of the most realistic rebirth novel I've read. It mostly focuses on how MC change his and his friends' lives. The story is set on 90s, very very detailed. At first, the MC is a poor orphan, it took him a long long while to be somewhat succesful. He has two childhoods friends who were mixed with gangs/thugs etc. And towards the end, one of them was even executed. He wakes up and finds himself back in the past, and began to change his fate. I like that MC is a loyal person and also wants to help his friends and their families have better lives. At first I thought one of them was going to be the ML, but...nope. The MC really sees them as just family. The ML... the ML is really eccentric. He has a different kind of vision which surprises MC because he makes his decisions/investments based on future knowledge but ML was able to match him. Their relationship started sponteneously and MC didn't treat it seriously at first until he learned ML's mind which is completely serious!! Have no qualms about introducing him to his family. MC has to worry for the both of them. I love MC's stepsister, who is sweet and spoiled with the MC (and has some rivalry with the ML) but is actually one of the hidden BOSS! She and ML sometimes solves MC's problems for him cos they're both aware that MC is a law-abiding citizen XD
