"Mihi it's going to be fine. I know what Roohi meant for you but we cannot change anything."
"I have simply no hopes from Ishita and Raman but my heart cries for Roohi." Mihir hugged his wife without wasting another second. He knew what little Roohi meant for his wife. In their bedroom if one wall was filled with numerous frames of Mira then another wall had the beautiful pictures of Roohi right from the day she arrived. They always treated Roohi as there younger daughter especially Mihika who always handled little girl whenever she needed. Mihika was not blood relative of Iyyer's or Bhalla's but the relations are not about blood, some relations are of love as well. Maybe Roohi and Mihika shares one.
"Mihika we cannot blame Raman or bhabhi entirely. The circumstances weren't favourable either."
"Can you please stop taking side of your precious bhai?" Mihika gritted her teeth making her husband feared in early morning.
"Fine I will not take there side but what I mean they would not be able to understand there responsibilities until and unless they start living together. Trust me they are her parents how can they harm her?"
"Then why can't they love her?" Mihir passed a glass of water to his wife who was taking hiccups. The bug fat tears in her eyes seemed intolerable to him, he continued to console her until her hiccups lessened and then continued, "Look Mihi, I might don't have answers of your questions but I believe the present circumstances will surely bring something good from it. Agree or not but these six months will prove worthy."
He took a sigh of relief seeing the convinced face of his wife. He took her hand in his for another time and they started to take slow steps towards their bedroom which was just next to their daughter one. Mihika expected her husband to follow her but his disappearance brought a frown on her forehead. Before she could call him she saw Mihir entering in bedroom taking sleeping Mira in his arms.
"Why you took her here?"
"I can't sleep without her and moreover it's Sunday today. We can take liberty to sleep till late, right mommy." His mischevious remark caused Mihika to smile and she herself laid at the right side of bed after making Mira sleep in the middle of bed. Mihir observed his wife slept immediately snuggling next to Mira leaving him wide awake. But he had no regret from the same, they are a family and sacrificing sleep for your loved one are not a big issue especially when the upcoming day is Sunday. He chuckled on his own thoughts and rested his head on his elbow admiring the mother daughter duo who were sleeping snuggling close to each other. Everyone says Mira inherited his looks but Mihir finds his daughter exact replica of his beloved wife, fiesty and caring girl who knows to win everyone heart. Sixteen years had passed since he bumped with his crazy wife and everything changed after that.
Mihika Arora, previously Mihika Sharma was his junior in Delhi Technical University where he saw her for first time. There was something in eighteen year old girl which caught his attention and he couldn't help to stop himself from falling for her. He was a student of Electronic engineering with Raman, indeed they were friends but completely poles apart. His weirdo friend Raman had no interest in girls but he had, he always dreamt to find his lady love in typical bollywood style and maybe matarani heard his wish. He approached Mihika without knowing what kind of a fiesty girl she is, a typical fiesty nerd who can't get befriended with boys in first instance but anyway things went well with them.
The friendship soon transformed into love when they parted from each other after there engineering completion. Mihir left to IIT-Bombay to puruse his M.Tech, but the distance turned fruitful and they got married after getting jobs. Mihir smiled cheekily recalling how time had passed, sixteen years of relationship, nine years of marriage and eight years old daughter. The life seemed simple and beautiful for him but not everyone needs such simple definitions lives. Raman Bhalla is not just his friend but his mentor as well. Although Raman was his classmate but he always has a thirst to achieve something big, he always saw Raman as less spoken and serious guy who dream to achieve something big. He literally kept everything aside to chase his single goal, according to him Raman had achieved his goal long back but he is still running behind something completing ignoring what is he loosing in this process.
