Things where quiet for most of his younger years and he studied hard in school in the hopes of having a better future. It was on his way to graduation that he was kidnapped and held hostage by a sociopath. The man tortured him for days and disfigured his face completely. When Maddox finally did pass away he was relieved that he no longer would have to feel that pain or feel so broken. However he soon woke up again, though this time things where different.
