☆ The dare date ☆

Yeri and Chaehyun had a weird friendship. She wasn't popular, but she wasn't unpopular. She didn't follow the crowd and she definitely would put you in your place if she needed to. And that's how her bond with Chaehyun had started. They were seatmates in biology and Chaehyun had ended up falling asleep during the experiment. So, naturally, she slapped him awake with her book so hard that he fell off of the chair and before he could even say anything, she went on a full on rant about how she was not doing all of the work and Chaehyun would help her whether he liked it or not. Needless to say, he helped her.

She was the only person who Chaehyun would listen to besides Lucas and ocassionally, his college friend Taeyong. Of course, along the way on their glorious friendship one of them just had to fall in love and of course that person had to be Chaehyun, even though he relentlessly stated that he wasn't in love with her. It's so typical, it makes Lucas want to throw up.

"Uh yes there is. Your need to be there is to get me laid!"

"You can do that on your own. The only reason I was going was because I promised Yeri id take her if she didn't have a date and she didn't up until yesterday when someone randomly asked her to go, so there's no need. Besides, I don't have a date." Chaehyun scrolled through the text between him and Yeri when she explained that she no longer needed his assistance as somebody had asked her and there was a hole in the pit of his stomach with every other sad emotion bursting out of it.

"Oh come on! Since when have you ever needed a date? We can go together! I'll be your date. And if not then there's other girls willing trust me, I've had like nine come up to me asking if you're taking anyone and I'm telling you now, I'm getting sick of it. Do you know how pathetic I feel?"

Lucas fell back against Chaehyun's bed, helplessness in his eyes as a sigh passed through his lips. His best friend pat his knee with sympathy swirling in his eyes before he retracted it and stood up. He made his way over to his PlayStation and grabbed the controllers.

"So you're not gonna come?" Asked a defeated Lucas.

Chaehyun felt bad, but there was no reason to be there...well at least that's what he told himself. But he knew deep down he didn't want to be there because he didn't want to see Yeri with anyone but him.

"Sorry Lucas, i might come to the after party. But the actual dance just isn't for me..."

The dreaded night had finally arrived and Chaehyun felt like he was going to throw up. He was dreading the pictures that would be all up his Instagram feed but he was looking forward to the afterparty which he had decided he would be attending, thankfully, Mark would be the designated driver since he wasn't allowed to get drunk due to the fact that he had a Saturday job and couldn't afford to be hungover.

Yeri had stopped off at his house before her group of friends were to pick her up, Chaehyun thought it was a little weird that her date wasn't the one collecting her but shrugged it off as just a mutual agreement to meet up there. She looked stunning of course.

"I'm so nervous, I think I'm gonna be sick." Chaehyun stuffed his hands into the pocket of his grey joggers and watched as she keeled over onto her knees. She did look kinda pale.

"Why are you so nervous? It's just a date, who knows? Maybe you'll end up dating and living happily ever after?" Chaehyun was a brilliant actor, because the pain he was truly feeling never seeped through the happy facade.

He didn't notice Yeri frown slightly.

"Oh yeah, haha maybe." She cleared her throat. "Are you going to the afterparty?"

Chaehyun nodded. "Lucas is already mad I'm not going to prom, I can't let him down by not showing up to afterparty. He's gonna pick me up with Mark, Xiaojun and Hendery once it's over. Are you gonna go with your future bae? Or are you gonna run home and write all about your fantasy date in your princess diary."
