Chaehyun didn't plan this. One second he was resting comfortably in bed and the next, he was on the phone with Jennie who was pleading him to hang out with her for the day. Despite being from different managements, the two had quite a close relationship and Chaehyun couldn't deny the crush he had on her, but alas, she wasn't allowed to date even if she wanted to.

"I want to be in bed," groaned the boy as he allowed her to pull him on towards the subway. Various phones pointed in their direction, Chaehyun made sure to wink at a few before Jennie had successfully seated him down on their form of transports.

"And I want to spend the day with my best friend, so you will enjoy it, besides, I bought you your favourite drink, be grateful." Jennie grinned, pulling out her phone. Forcing him to lean in, she captured the moment with a happy smile.

She felt sad though. Jennie did return the crush and she knew that it was wrong since there were rumours of him having a girlfriend for one and the dating ban for two. Biting down on her lip, her focus was on her phone but her eyes drifted to him every now and then. He looked like a cross over with a puppy and bad boy and something about it drew her in.

He was sat staring blankly ahead, chewing down on the straw, Jennie sighed. She pulled the straw from his mouth, instructing him he may hurt himself. She blushed and turned away, ignoring the odd look she received in return.

"So, what's with all the rumours?" She forced herself to ask as she dragged him along the streets, into any store which caught her eye. With his hand wrapped around hers, hood over his head exposing a bit of hair, Chaehyun sighed.

"I had this thing with a girl, Daeyoon knows. I ended it a few days ago after she posted the picture and comment. I'm not made for relationships and so, I couldn't be in one. In all honesty, I'm not sure whether I'm fully past my relationship with Dahyun." Jennie's heart stung a little, but she nodded with a quick smile.

She knew how much he loved Dahyun and understood that it would take him a very long time to fully pass those feelings.

"Why did you two break up?" She asked carefully as they entered a small coffee shop.

Chaehyun sighed as the two stood in line, ignoring the glances from a few people surrounding them. "Schedules but it was more than that, I wasn't putting effort in like I should've, I didn't know how to. I've never been in tune with my feelings and she understood that, but I knew my lack of effort was hurting her and so I ended things to get myself together, I was going through a tough time with my family too and it was all too much. It hurt her, but it was for the best and we're still friends."

Jennie nodded. "Will you ever get back together?"

Chaehyun's eyes shifted to the ground and she could've sworn he was tearing up. Shaking his head, he bit his lip.

"No," he sniffed. "There's no future for me and Dahyun."
