Lachlan's Reaction To The New Members.

NOTE: Okay so, this is like a week after it was released and BOY I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO BREATHE SINCE. The three new members, i am so excited to know more about them omg!

ALSO, I am running off 0 hours of sleep whilst writing this so i apologize if it's messy and a little confusing

When Chaehyun was first informed about the three new members joining, he wasn't too sure what to think. Of course, he was extremely excited to get to know the new additions to his family but he was also very afraid of the way they would react around him. Chaehyun was aware of how he sometimes came across when strangers were involved and many people passed him off as rude, which wasn't the case at all. With the darkness of his past constantly trailing behind him, he had a fear of getting attached. With the others, he had spent a very long time adapting to them and they had learned to adapt to his needs. If he needed space, they knew when. When there was something wrong, they could tell. 

If he was being honest, he was more afraid of how he would react around them. They were now entering his family permanently and he didn't want to come across as hostile. When Jungwoo, Lucas and Kun entered his life, he was extremely cautious around them and though the other members eased him into the new changes, he still found it very hard to be himself. Eventually, he came to realize that the boys had been informed of Chaehyun's actions and the reasons behind his distance and the three understood perfectly. One by one, they approached him and Chaehyun felt at ease. I mean, Lucas is his best friend now so he must have done something right. 

"Are you okay? You look like you're about to throw up," Taeil whispered gently.

Chaehyun snapped out of his gaze on the floor and shifted it to his elder. "Uh yeah just uh-" 

"He's nervous about the new members," Lucas interrupted, surprisingly calmer than usual.   

Chaehyun nodded, silently praising Lucas for not making him say it out loud. Taeil shared a knowing glance with Taeyong. They knew that when it came to things like this, it sparked worry into Chaehyun. Last time, it was Taeyong, Ten and Taeil who eased the new members into meeting Chaehyun and they knew, to put his mind at rest they would have to do it again and they would, happily. 

Out of instinct, Chaehyun gripped Taeyong's hand as the door opened and in walked three unfamiliar men and Kun and their manager. Taeyong's grip on Chaehyun's hand tightened as the group introduced themselves. It was clear that just by looking at them, they were intimidated and Chaehyun couldn't blame them. Who wouldn't? Entering an already formed group with nineteen other members would be scary for anyone, heck, Chaehyun still gets intimidated by it. 

Taking a deep breath, he managed to shoot the guy known as Hendery a smile which was timidly returned. Taeyong grinned, to anyone it may have only been a smile but the group knew how hard it was for Chaehyun to adapt to change and this was a big one. As the members individually introduced themselves, Taeyong shot a glance towards Chaehyun who kept his head down. 

"This is Chaehyun or Lachlan or Chae or idiot. To be honest, he answers to anything. He might look slightly intimidating but he's the biggest softie, just give him time to loosen up and let him get used to you." Taeyong squeezed the younger into his hold and shot a smile at three boys who nodded understandingly after already been told everything about that from Ten and Kun. 

"Kun and I explained to them in detail about his uncertainty. Don't worry boys, he'll be pushing you to do dumb stuff soon." 

Chae chuckled gently offering a warm smile to the new members. 

It was going to take a lot of getting used to, but he's done it before and he can do it again. He wants to because at the end of the day, the three unfamiliar members are apart of his family now and he wanted to make them feel like it too.
