❛ 𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐥𝐚𝐧. 𝗇𝖼𝗍 𝖺𝖽𝖽𝖾𝖽 𝗆𝖾𝗆𝖻𝖾𝗋

➳ Prepared for the worst ➳

A week had passed and no sign of Kim Chaehyun. The police had said if it was a kidnapping, then Chaehyun was most likely dead. Everybody had been searching high and low for him, but no sign. The police were no longer looking into a kidnapping but a possible death; they were now just searching for a body.

His grandfather had woken up a three days after his disappearance, only to be met with heartbreak after the news was broke to him. The cops were trying to prepare the family, friends and even fans for the worst, but nothing would ever prepare them for that moment.

Chenle had cried enough tears to fill at least an Olympic swimming pool. The boys had been allowed a break to help with the case. Lucas had spent most days when he wasn't out trying to find Chaehyun laying in Chaehyun's bed. Nobody had ever seen him look so heartbroken. Taeyong was jittery and couldn't concentrate much. Everyone was in a bad state, just wishing for their brother to return alive.

For the first few days, police believed that the case was a runaway and didn't do much about it until the family convinced them to look further into it after Chaehyun's phone was found just ten minutes away from the hospital, the place that Chaehyun was supposedly heading before he went missing. The place that he didn't end up going to.

This lead police into believing that Chaehyun was on his way to the hospital but maybe got caught up with something...possibly someone, causing it to drop from his hand. The phone was found in an alleyway; the route in which Chaehyun takes to avoid the big open city where everyone can see him. There had been many calls stating that they had seen Chaehyun, but not one lead was successful. Everybody was starting to become impatient, including the fans who just wanted their idol home safe and sound. 

"Chaehyun wouldn't run away for this long without saying anything. He left his fucking dog, that's his pride and joy. I'm telling you, there's someone behind this! I know my best friend and I know that if he was going to do some stupid shit like this, he would tell me." Lucas had finally snapped. The boys knew it was going to happen soon, they were prepared for it. He had been far too quiet over these last few days, it was brewing up inside him and now, he had finally boiled. He was done holding back his true emotions. 

Jungwoo wrapped his arm around Lucas and held him tight, allowing the younger boy to rest his head on his shoulder as the tears slid down his face. At that moment, the door swung open to reveal a frantic Dahyun. 

"I just got a phone call off of Chaehyun."
