Third Person's POV

"So...I guess this is it." Rin smiled wryly, "Good luck with your searching, and-" Rin narrowed her eyes at the man beside Naruto, "please protect yourself from that pervert's influence."

"What? Listen you little brat, someone as young as you shouldn't even understand what a pervert is-"

"Yeah right!" Rin snarled, "You wrote those dirty books that Kakashi reads, right?! You're disgusting! Not to mention, you're breaking the three shinobi rules-"

"To hell with them!"

"To hell with you!"

Gai watches with a blank face. Considering the situation, these two --an old man and a minuscule brat-- were argueing so over-passionately...

Naruto smiles brightly, "So I guess you're feeling better now, Chibi Rin?"

Rin paused. Then she nodded, "A little bit..." she scowled, "Wait, don't ask. I know you're going to ask."

"But did you cr-"

"No I didn't!"

Naruto scowled, "I don't believe you, but whatever floats your boat... So take care of Sasuke and stuff okay! When I come back, it's gonna be with a medic, and a strong jutsu!"

"Study hard..." Rin grinned, "With the village's Chidori out of commision, we'll need a new strong jutsu to show off. Don't slack off and eat ramen or something..."

"Haha...it's not like your jutsu is weak either, Chibi Rin," Naruto smirked, "I remember how you always best back the enemies with your awesome sword!" The boy sighed, "But if I promise to come back with an awesome jutsu, can you promise to tell me more about yourself...?"

Rin hesitated, "I guess...because with friends. Just don't arrive too late, otherwise I'll tell Sakura first!"

"Wait but-"

"Naruto," Jiraiya spoke up, "we should go."

The blonde turned his head, then he adjusted his backpack, "Alright then. See ya later Chibi Rin!"

"Don't call me that!" Rin yelled after them, "And stay safe!"

She turned her head to Gai after they left, "So...I guess we should head back to Konoha now."

Gai grunted and repositioned Sasuke on his shoulders before walking off, "So you're Uchiha Itachi's sister?"

Rin looked down, "No point hiding it now... Although he won't admit it, yes. I guess so."

"Does Sasuke know?"

Rin smiled a little sadly as she watched her brother's sleeping face, "Yes. I'm his little sister after all..."

Gai's eyes narrowed, "But there were never any records of the ahead Family having a third child..."

Gai waited for an answer, but instead watched the girl's eyes get darker. Then she sighed, "I just never went out that much... That's all."

"You're lying."

"Well that's true... But you know," Rin chuckled under her breath, "a long time ago, I decided that I would try now hating my father, and try protecting his honor instead. If you don't mind, I'd like to keep the real reason secret."
