Theme: Sparkles

He knew as soon as he walked in the ballroom that he didn't belong here.

Mingling among the rich and higher class, wearing a black and dark purple suit, he felt like a wolf in sheep's clothing. He was watching and waiting for the perfect time to strike and strip away the disguise, to reveal his true self.

Across the room, wearing a white suit adorned with red and gold sparkling accents, Virgil caught the eyes of his victim, Roman. He forced himself to remain calm and collected as the rich business man walked over, gently taking Virgil's hand in his own and kissing it, bowing like a prince. The young man resisted the urge to roll his eyes at such a gesture. He knew Roman's history, and he knew of his reputation of being such a player, using his money as a pass to get him whatever he wanted. And tonight, it seemed he wanted Virgil.

"What's a handsome man like yourself doing here all alone?" He asked, eyes trailing down to see his outfit before slowly making their way back up.

"Ah, just waiting for the right man to come and sweep me off my feet," Virgil replied, using sarcasm as a shield.

"Well, perhaps I could be of service." Smiling, Roman suddenly dipped Virgil, causing the man to gasp quietly in surprise. He stared up at the rich man, finding his gaze settling on his eyes. They were mostly brown, with a small mix of green, dark orange, and just a hint of gold. They held a sparkle he couldn't quite decipher, though he had a suspicion it was related to the charming smile inches below them.

" . . . Perhaps." Virgil controlled his voice, keeping his overall air of satire and pushing aside his true emotions.

Smirking, Roman had him back up on his feet, one arm looped around his waist, securely. "What do you say we move to another, more private room?"

"I say lead the way." Virgil smiled up at him, looking innocent, unsuspecting. He let Roman lead them threw the congested ballroom, making sure not to bump into anyone, or at least not too hard.

"I swear, your smile is one of the greatest sights in the world," Roman commented, flirtatiously. "And when we touched, I swear I felt a spark between us."

"A spark, you say?" Virgil held back a smirk and remained mostly expressionless. "How queer . . ."

"Indeed." Roman chuckled and slid a key into a lock. He smiled as it clicked and he turned the knob, gently pulling Virgil inside the lavish bedroom. The scent of roses here was almost intoxicating, and Virgil resisted the urge to gag, not just at the smell, but at the current situation. However, he forced a smile as Roman shut and locked the door. He allowed his head to be tilted up by the strong hands of the business man in front of him. staring into those enchanting eyes once more. He sighed of content when Roman's thumbs gently rubbed across his cheeks in a soothing manner. It was getting harder to focus, harder to resist.

When their lips slowly connected, there truly was a spark shared between them, and not just a romantic one. Roman quickly stepped back as he felt lightning coursing through his body, making him move and shiver a bit in a way that looked like he was only experiencing a few chills. The power was just that subtle. At least, for the time being.

Hungrily, he reached for Virgil and they kissed again, Virgil's fingers curling into the business man's hair to pull him closer. Neither pulled back as the shocks grew more intense the more passion they felt. They felt almost like it was all in their heads, but Roman's hair was singed lightly from where Virgil had been clutching it.

Outside, it had begun to pour. Thunder and fittingly large bolts of lightning soon joined, making a beautiful soundtrack of intense nature as the two laid in their dress clothes, curled up under the covers as the room had grown cold and they desired to stop for a bit and stay close.

"Your eyes . . . sparkle," Virgil murmured, watching as the edges of said eyes crinkled when Roman smiled.

"I can't help but notice that you have such an . . . electric personality." A small glance up at Roman and seeing his face and Virgil was sitting upright, shaking. He ignored Roman's concerned remarks as he leaped up from the bed. He headed for the door and lifted his head, going into the hall. His walk was brisk, knowing he failed, and even walked out before the task was completed! He'd let himself get pulled in by Roman just like all the others before him, and now he was feeling the romantic feeling for the man, hindering him from going through with his task. He was supposed to be smarter than this, but instead he gave himself away and revealed his powers.

Virgil reached the bus stop and sat on one of the covered benches. He pulled out a crumbled up paper, opening it and reading what was supposed to be his assignment:

'Place: Underground ballroom, Manhattan (You will know exactly where).

Background: Roman Goldwell is a young and wealthy man. He is known for being a 'player' amongst the business and celebrity world, and identifies as gay. Try not to get trapped by his charms.

Task: This has been supported by many of Roman's former flames. Catch his eyes and get close. Let him lure you in just enough so you are alone and strike your lightning. DO NOT LET HIM KNOW ABOUT YOUR POWERS.'

Virgil forcibly held his tears back and stuffed the paper away. He was such an idiot! He knew what he was getting himself into and was foolish for accepting this assignment.

He found himself thinking of Roman himself even now, and how his eyes seemed to sparkle when they looked at Virgil . . .

Shaking his head, Virgil stood and watched as the bus pulled up to the sparsely populated bus stop. He had only the slimmest idea ad to what his further had in store for him. Who knew exactly what would happen when his boss learned he'd failed and gave himself away?

And as he boarded the bus that would take him even farther away from Roman, the charming business man overtaking his thoughts, his eyes seemed to sparkle too . . . but with tears.

This was . . . definitely not my best work! It's kinda everywhere but I promised I would incorporate something extra in addition to the theme for another person to help cover up a little mistake so here we are! I mean, I kinda like the idea but not entirely sure about my feelings on this.

Anyways, I do hope y'all enjoy!
