One day, two young lovers met atop a green, grassy hill.
The bubbly one of the two
gave his partner a small smile,
his heart beating so fast
it felt like he had just run a mile.
His hands were clasped behind his back,
A small, velvet box in his hand.
He was incredibly nervous, can't you tell?
He looked down at his lover, and...
The quieter boy gasped,
His lover was down on one knee,
Looking right back at him.
"Virgil...will you marry me?"
Virgil took a deep breath,
Fresh air filled his lungs,
and he opened his mouth...
One word came tumbling out.
"Yes..."
