Logicality

It was nearly midnight, and Patton was wide awake, a dreamy smile on his face. He was curled up to Logan, arms wrapped around his waist as the logical side slept peacefully, one of his arms wrapped protectively around Patton.

Patton was still buzzing with energy, too happy from earlier events to feel tired. His smile slowly grew as his mind replayed the happy memories from hours ago . . .

*Earlier*

"I hope you're proud of yourself. No one hardly ever makes me laugh," Logan told Patton as their fits of laughter died down.

The two were cuddling on Logan's bed. Patton was leaning into Logan, who's arm was wrapped around his boyfriend, keeping him close. He had a slight smile on his face.

Patton giggled. "I guess I must be special then."

"Indeed you are," Logan replied.

Patton grinned, then gently tickled Logan's side, making him burst out in laughter.

"Patton!" Logan said in surprise, still laughing as the moral side continued to tickle him.

After a few more moments, Patton finally stopped. His grin was even wider as he watched Logan regain his breath, his face red from laughing.

Logan looked over at Patton, and now he was smiling, looking at Patton lovingly.

Patton nearly melted from the look, and his face turned red. He suddenly had an idea, then he grabbed Logan's hand, lacing their fingers together. He was grinning wide.

"Patton?" Logan said, tilting his head to the side, as he was confused with Patton's sudden excitement.

"If every word I said could make you laugh, I'd talk forever," Patton sang, his voice soft and sweet. Logan's mouth opened slightly in awe of his boyfriend.

Suddenly, Patton pulled Logan up to stand, and he put an arm on his shoulder, the other on his waist. Logan hesitantly did the same to Patton.

"If the song I sing to you could fill your heart with joy, I'd sing forever . . ." Patton began leading Logan in a slow waltz around Logic's room. "I've been so happy loving you . . ." Patton sang, and he twirled Logan, who let out a small yelp of surprise, but soon smiled as they returned to their dancing positions.

"Let the love I have for you live in your heart, and beat forever . . . Forever . . ." Patton sang.

"Forever . . ." Logan sang softly, causing Patton's eyes to widen in surprise.

"I've been so happy loving you . . ." They sang together, voices in perfect harmony.

Patton pulled Logan close to him, then he gently kissed him, one hand cupping his cheek, causing the logical side's face to turn red.

Patton pulled away after a few seconds, and Logan smiled almost shyly at him.

"Your voice is beautiful," Patton commented, keeping his hand on Logan's cheek.

His face dusted pink. "W-why thank you."

Patton continued to grin wide as he looked into Logan's big brown eyes. Though they looked much like his own, he couldn't help but get lost in them, and find them beautiful.

Logan let out a small, kitten-like yawn. Patton giggled and led Logan to the bed, pulling the covers back for him.

"I'm not tired—"

"Shh, yes you are," Patton replied, and he knew this was the truth.

Logan sighed, too tired to argue any further. He laid down on the bed, and Patton crawled next to him, pulling the covers up to their torsos. He then wrapped his arms around Logan's waist and curled up to him. Logan put an arm around his boyfriend, pulling him a little closer.

"Get some sleep, love," Patton said softly, giving him a little smile.

Logan sighed, feeling calm as he drifted off into sleep.

*Present*

Patton still had a dreamy smile on his face and he looked up at Logan, who was still fast asleep.

"Forever . . ." Patton sang quietly, his voice extremely soft. Minutes later, he fell asleep.
