Staring down below at the beautiful clouds just a bit below him, he just couldn't believe he was actually doing this.

Five years ago, on a visit to see his childhood friend, Logan had met a stranger on the street named Virgil. After a few moments, the two went on their way, thinking they'd never see each other again. However, by chance, they met again thanks to Roman, Logan's friend, and started to hang out more and more...leading to romantic feelings and ultimately dating.

But alas, as long as Logan wanted to stay with Virgil, he knew he had to return to his hometown and back to his job as well. The two promised to keep a long-distance relationship, and even after all these years later, they were still together, and their love for each other had only grew.

"Hello, passengers. We will soon be landing. We ask that you please turn off all your devices as we make our descent," a voice said, over the loudspeaker.

All around him, Logan heard small grumbles and the sounds of laptops shutting. He sighed, returning his gaze to the window and watching the scenery go by, as they were now under the clouds, heading for the airport. In his hand, he clutched a small velvet box, one that he's been fidgeting with for most of the flight. He slowly took a deep, calming breath.

With the help of Roman, Logan had been able to take a week long trip to New York three times per year ever since he and Virgil had started dating. It was pricey, yes, but Roman was willing to give up money from his shows to help them out.

Minutes later, Logan was stepping off the plane, rolling his suitcase behind him and adjusting his backpack that hung off one shoulder, making his way through the airport. When the smart man had informed Roman of his plans, he had immediately got excited, and arranged this trip, making sure Virgil had no idea his boyfriend was coming.

Outside, Logan called for a taxi, then once it pulled up to the curb, he stuffed his things inside before getting in himself and giving the cab driver the directions to where Roman worked.

The ride was slow, due to the heavy traffic, but Logan didn't really seem to mind, looking out the window and staring up at the tall buildings. No matter how many times he saw the city, he was always amazed, especially since he was not used to such a place, even after all his visits.

"You're not from around here, are you?" The cab driver asked, glancing back at Logan with the mirror.

Logan couldn't help but smile slightly, remembering when Virgil had said the same thing to him on the day they met. "What makes you say that?"

"Well, for starters, you keep looking around quickly like you're Alice in Wonderland."

"I've actually visited this city many times to see my boyfriend. It just always amazes me..." He shrugged, then bit his lip upon realizing he mentioned that he had a boyfriend, not knowing how the driver would react.

Much to Logan's relief, the driver only nodded, not questioning anything of what he'd just said.

They soon pulled up to the theater Roman and Virgil were currently working at, and Logan paid the driver before gettin his things out and heading inside.

He walked down the familiar halls of backstage, hearing actors and the behind-the-scenes people giggling and chatting with each other. He reached Roman's dressing room, then knocked on the door, setting his things down.

The door swung open, revealing Roman, who looked like he was in the middle of getting his stage makeup done. His eyes seemed to light up as he saw Logan, and he practically tackled him with a hug.
