The weather was quite dreary in New York City on Logan's second-to-last day of his visit. Dark, gray clouds mingled among the magnificent skyscrapers and historic sights, and the whole city seemed to glisten from the heavy rain that refused to stop.

It seemed nearly everyone in the city was in a sour mood that Friday morning, save for Logan and Virgil. The two were huddled under Virgil's rather small black umbrella, the heavy downpour enough to deter even these two lovers of rain from walking directly in it. When they finally made their way onto the subway train, they plopped down beside each other, unable to stop their laughter, which had been caused by all the adrenaline rushing through their veins.

Ever since they met that day on the street, then again at Roman's play, they started to hang out more frequently, whenever they could given Virgil's work schedule. However, Logan's week-long visit would soon end, and he'd return back to his hometown, as well as his job there. They both knew that saying goodbye was inevitable, but for now, they acted as if they had all the time in the world.

Logan felt something warm brush his hand, and he looked down, catching Virgil quickly try to hide his blushing face. They contact clearly hadn't been purposeful, and the more anxious one of them was embarrassed, hugging himself rather tightly.

"Hey, it's alright..." Logan quietly assured, though he had to lean close to Virgil for his soft voice to be heard over the loud talking of everyone else on the subway train.

"It's not...I'm such an idiot, I'm so sorry..." Virgil mumbled, burying his face in his hands.

Logan froze for a moment, then regained his composure. "Virge, you're not. It was clearly an accident. I am not mad at you."

"You're not?" Virgil looked up at him from his bangs, as usual, and the look caused something to stir inside Logan, like it did every time it happened.

"I promise."

Virgil slowly lifted his head all the way, just as the train pulled up to their stop. the other man caught a small smile light up the anxious one's face.

They got off the subway and started up the stairs to take them to the street. Virgil's hand accidentally brushed Logan's once more, and this time, neither of them tried to pull away from the contact. It was as if something clicked inside the two of them at the same time, like an instinct. Their fingers seemed to lace together perfectly, and Logan found himself swinging their joined hands a bit as they walked.

And in that moment, they finally seemed to realize that their close friendship was forming into something else that may be obvious and sweet to others, but rather confusing and daunting to Logan and Virgil themselves.

Logan felt a small weight on his shoulder, and he glanced at Virgil, smiling when he realized that he was leaning on Logan as they walked down the street. Catching his glance, Virgil flashed him a smile that caused Logan to stop in his tracks, literally.

Thinking he did something wrong, Virgil took a step back, dropping his hand and looking down. He opened his mouth to apologize. However, he was quickly cut off by Logan blurting out, "Go on a date with me!!"

"I—what?" Clearly, and understandably, Virgil was caught off guard with this declaration.

Logan pushed his glasses up on his nose, clearing his throat. "I...I really embarrassed myself, didn't I? I mean..." He rubbed the back of his neck. Why was it that every time he was around Virgil, all his normal thought processes and logical thinking just completely went out the window?

"...If you really meant it...I w-would want to g-go on a d-date with you..."

"You...you would?"
