Chapter Five

Jess’s P.O.V.

I walk into school wearing skinny jeans, white sanuks and a white soccer t-shirt with Hogan written across the top of my back with the number 5 in the middle of it. My brown hair straightened and it reaches right below my shoulders, with a white headband pushing my bangs back.

“SO are you ever going to tell me what happened last night with you and him?” Liv asks

“Nothing happened Liv” I say as I open my locker and a note falls out. Liv picks it up and she reads it.

“Guess who it’s from” She says, with a grin that stretches a mile wide.

I roll my eyes “Well then you keep it” I say and she shakes her head and starts to read it aloud

“Jess,

I hope you forgive me and, please, read this letter till the end. I just want to say I'm sorry; all I want is to tell you that I made a big mistake when I decided to break up with you and this mistake has made me hurt and cry too much.

I know I did wrong, but believe me when I say that I made a mistake, I was confused and unsure of want I wanted. The moment we broke up I realized, in truth, that you are the only who can make me happy...

Please don't take my apologies as yet another selfish attitude, and as if I'm only thinking about myself; if you're noble enough to forgive me you'll find out that I can really make you very happy too!

I know you must be upset and I can perfectly understand why. I'm aware of the extent of my mistake and I've even tried to put myself in your shoes. I understand the sad and uneasy situation that I've put you through just because of a slip up but mostly because of my childishness and insecurity. But I trust you have a big heart and soul. And I honestly wish you could give me another chance, one last chance to make your feel happy and very much loved.

Please, reply quickly, by letter or by phone!

Liv finishes and I roll my eyes

“Liv, give me the letter” I say and I snatch it from her hands and crumble it up into a ball as we walk into his classroom.

“Here’s your answer” I say to him and I throw the letter on his desk and I sit down in the back near the window.

“Hey are you okay?” Liv asks me and I turn and smile slightly

“Yeah I’m fine thanks” I say and I put my head down and just look out the window, ignoring his lecture. The bell finally rings and I walk to the door.

“Excuse me, Miss Hogan. Please stay behind, we need to talk about you sleeping in my class” He says and I roll my eyes and sigh

“I’ll see you tomorrow Liv” I say and I turn around and walk back inside the classroom and I sit down in the back, without another word. I put my head down, and blast my Ipod in my ears, blocking out whatever he tries to say.

“Jess listen, last night was a mistake. I shouldn’t have told you to leave, I didn’t know what else to do” He says and I look up and take out my headphones

“Did you say something?” I ask and he sighs and runs his hand through his hair. He looks up and his eyes land on mine. Those stunning cobalt colored eyes digging deep into my heart.
