Jack laughs a little, “You realize this is in like two days right?”

I nod “But we don’t have school on Friday since it’s Labor Day weekend”

and he says, “What am I going to wear? How should I do my hair?” He says in a girly voice and

I laugh. “Shut up” I say. “I should get inside, we have school tomorrow”.

Jack walks to his car and I walk inside, ignoring the death glares from my father and the pleads to talk from my mother. I shower and go to bed.

The next morning “Shit! I’m late!” I yell and I jump out of bed and quickly straighten my long brown hair, throw on a little mascara and cover up and I get changed into jean shorts, white Sanuks, and a gray soccer sweatshirt and I run out the door. I put my headphones on and start walking to school when that oh so familiar Camaro pulls up next to me. I turn and smile.

“Well good morning sunshine” Jack says and

I laugh “Are you going to offer me a ride or not??” I ask impatiently. He nods his head and I get in.

“Thank-you.” I say, smiling

“That’s what I’m here for.” He says and I laugh

“You’re such a dork.” I say laughing

“Yeah well you’re the one dating the dork.”

“Huh, very true. Maybe I should go date some stupid jock?” I suggest and he grips the steering wheel tight. I laugh.

“Whoa there, relax! I’m just kidding!” I say laughing “Wow someone can’t take a joke.” I say just as we pull up outside the school.

I walk into school and I find Liv and Mark and we walk to homeroom together. The day flies by and soon the final bell rings.

I say good bye to Liv and Mark “uh, Mr. Morris asked me to stay after school.” I say to them “I’ll meet you guys later this weekend?” They smile and walk to Mark’s car.

I walk to Jack’s classroom and decide not to knock. I open the door and I can’t believe what my eyes are looking at. "what the hell?!” I yell and I slam the door and run out of the school.

I run out of the school and am instantly hit with freezing rain. “Ugh! Why does it rain so much in New Jersey?!” I yell pissed off about everyone and everything at the moment. I pull my hood up over my head, my hands in my pockets and I begin taking the walk of shame home, once again. A few minutes pass and the rain keeps falling harder and harder. I hear that oh so familiar Camaro, race down the street and come to a screeching halt, a few yards in front of me.

“What are you doing? It’s freezing out here!” Jack yells

“No shit dumbass.” I snap and I keep walking.

“Get in and I’ll drive you home.” He offers and I turn and look at him, my hands crossed, keeping my body heat in.

“Me, get in the car with you? I’d rather freeze.” I say and I continue walking.
