BOOK: How To Use Your Enemies

AUTHOR: Baltasar Gracian

GENRE: Maxims

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: 'Better mad with the crowd than sane all alone'

In these witty, Machiavellian aphorisms, unlikely Spanish priest Baltasar Gracián shows us how to exploit friends and enemies alike to thrive in a world of deception and illusion. [Penguin Little Black Classic No. 12]

REVIEW: The advice given was actually really useful, and it was really interesting to see how very little has changed when it comes to workings of society since these maxims were written. I took away some really valuable lessons about self worth and confidence. I really like reading maxims, they're short and get straight to the point.

FINAL VERDICT: Some really thought-provoking ideas which will stick with me for a while.
