Always Have, Always Will

Dan heard little uneven taps of small feet bounding down the corridor towards his room.
His face burst into a wide smile as the door swung open and a giggling child ran towards him, his small arms opening to embrace his father. Dans eyes widened and his jawed dropped when he saw the yellow and red costume his son was wearing.
"Well hello there Mr. Winnie! I haven't seen you in a while! How's my favorite boy?" His heart stirred with an indescribable mixture of nostalgia and love as he picked up the little boy and leaned back on his bed with him on his lap. Lee giggled in response as his dad kissed his warm cheek softly. He placed his tiny hands on his fathers chest, the fabric of the black monochrome shirt tickling his small fingers.
"Phil!" Dan called, a smile plastered on his face as he played with the ears on Lee's pooh costume.
"Yeah? Phil said quizzically as he walked into the room, his whole face scrunching into a smile when he seen his whole family on the bad."Do you like the outfit I bought for Lee? I bought it online." He asked knowing that Dan's heart was going crazy.
"You are really trying to destroy my aren't you Mr.Lester." Dan said lovingly as he held the toddler to his chest.
He walked over and kissed the little boy on the top of the head before leaning in and kissing Dan on the cheek softly.
"Always have, Always will Mr.Howlter." Phil replied.
