Richard smiled his bedimpled smile and took the guitar back. He remarked, "let's start with you learning the parts of the guitar."

For the next few hours, Maine delved into learning how to play. As always Richard was a patient teacher. And he seemed to be enjoying himself in teaching her how to play. There was a new excitement in his eyes as he slowly emersed her into his world of music.

Eventually, Maine found herself sandwiched between Richard and the guitar. He was teaching her the chords to "Central Park". Her body leaned back against his chest, his arms supporting the guitar. His face rested on her shoulders as he whispered instructions in her ear. She tried really hard to concentrate, brows furrowed as she tried to remember where to place her fingers on the frets when he says the chord. He would instruct her softly, telling her where to place her fingers, sometimes he guided her, hands over hers as he placed her fingers on the right fret. She tried not to look back, her eyes trained on the fretboard, as she knew that she would be blushing. She'd been feeling the heat on her face since they've started.

"Now D minor," he whispered then waited for her get the chord right. "That's great, Heart. Now C...'I'll always' - don't stop strumming, you're doing great. Then G...'around'...keep it in G, Heart...'I'll always'...then F...nope that's C...there you go! Then slowly strum for a bit of flourish before ending. And we're done! Good job, Maine!"

Richard leaned forward to give her a kiss on the cheek, but she turned in time to receive the kiss on her lips. They pulled back immediately, surprised by each other's actions. Then Richard took the guitar from her and placed it gently on the floor. Then he pulled her to him once again in a searing kiss. Maine immediately responded as she turned towards him, and wrapped her arms around her neck. He pulled her to his lap, one hand on her neck while the other was on her back searching for the hem of the shirt that she borrowed from him. He heard her moan in pleasure as he left her lips and trailed open mouthed kisses down her jawline to her neck. He groaned at the sound of pleasure that he hears from her, as his other arm found the hemline of the shirt and he snaked his arm up on her back, unclasping the bra that she was wearing. He heard her gasped before he claimed her lips once more in a very passionate kiss.

He felt her tugging his shirt, so Richard helped Maine in taking if off, breaking the kiss for a second before he returned with more intensity. Another moan escaped her, as Richard hand found one of her mounds, gently massaging it teasing its peak. His other hand was on her neck, keeping her in place. He groaned as he deepened the kiss, Maine's hands roamed over his bare chest going up to his shoulders, looking for something to hold on. She whimpered as their tongues dance to the beat of their hearts. He left her lips as he once more trailed kisses down her neck. Her moans of pleasure turned him on as he yanked the neck hole of her shirt wider to give him access to her shoulder. He sucked and nipped at her exposed flesh while he gave her breast a squeeze, earning another whimper from her. He went back to her lips and kissed her deeper.

He felt her stiffen when he started pulling her shirt up. He broke the kiss and looked into her eyes. He sighed at what he saw and closed his eyes. He kissed her one more time, before he let go off her breast and struggled to get the clasp on her bra back in place. Both of them were breathing hard, Maine much more than him.

"RJ?"

"I'm sorry," he sighed. He reached out to caress her cheek. "I went too far this time."

He was about to move Maine from his lap but she held on. She wrapped her arms around his neck and hugged him closer. Richard sighed and wrapped his arms around her waist keeping her there.

"Why do you keep hesitating?" She asked in a hoarse whisper. She couldn't help but feel hurt by his actions. She was trying not to cry.

"I'm not the one that's hesitating, Heart," he replied softly. "You are."

"What?"

She pulled back to look at him, there was a sad look in his eyes. He adjusted his position so that he was leaning back on the headboard of their bed. She was still sitting on his lap, her hair a tangled mess on her head that it was taking everything in Richard not to get back on what they were doing a while ago.

He reached out to caress her cheeks again before he continued, "I saw it in your eyes. For a split second there was fear in them. And you stiffened as I tried to take your shirt off. You're not ready, you're only pretending to be.

"I don't want to see fear in your eyes, Maine. I want you to trust me completely when we finally make love. I won't rush you with this. I did mention that I will follow your pace, however slow it may be. You don't need to pressure yourself, Heart. I will wait until you're ready. We do it your way. Your time. Your pace. I'm right here. I'm not going anywhere."

Maine wrapped her arms around his neck again and buried her face on his chest.

"I'm sorry," she said softly that Richard barely heard it.

"Don't," he replied as he kissed her temple to reassure her. "Don't ever apologize for this. Especially if it's about this. You don't need to apologize about something that's beyond our control. Like I said, we will follow your pace. However long it takes until you get there, I will wait. For now, we'll just go as far as we can go that you're comfortable in."

She held him tighter and replied, "I don't deserve you."

"Quite the opposite," he said as he returned the hug with the same intensity. "You deserve the world, my Heart. You deserve every good thing there is in life. You deserve more than what I'm giving you."

"I love you, Home."

"I love you more, Heart."
